Hello. my name is Chris. I'm a life-long TF fan/collector. I recently decided to get into making customs, thanks mostly to some of the amazing work that gets posted on this board. A few months back, I saw some pics of a custom batman transformer made from animated lockdown and decided that would be a good place to start (I put my own spin on it cause I didn't want it to look like a complete rip-off of someone elses work) and I'm about half way done with it. I'll post pics when I get a memory card adaptor.

My main reason for this post though, is that I was wondering if there were any other custom artists in my area (cleveland, ohio) It would be nice if I could meet someone with a bit more experience than me. Not necissarily to team up on projects with, but more to exchange ideas with and learn from. I've already read most of the tutorials on here, as well as on JinSatome's page, but I find that I pick things up quicker if I see it done in person. (Not that it's gonna stop me from trying)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

    Chris

    Welcome to the Radicons
I believe the Batman custom was done by Shinobitron
I'm sure you will find most people here are more then willing to help out with advice.
There is nothing wrong with "coping" a custom you like, imatation is the most sincere form of flattery.

    How true it is.

Trust me, they're here to help. I'm like you (H)i(GH)con, I like seeing things done before I attempt. The PM's help out big time and I'll usually send pics to show you what I'm talking about. Youtube is also good for seeing how things get done. I'm in the New York area so I'm sorry I can't help on the proximity but if I can do it, I'm sure you can too!

I use this site to pick people's minds and it helps with the way my customs both look and operate (although I still need help with painting). Welcome aboard.

Welcome, Chris. If you're looking for a metor, you just got about 200. If in doubt about anything, any member of the staff can probably help.

Superquad7, Plowking, Frenzy_Rumble, Redline, and a handful of others are real go-to guys when it comes to specific dilemmas. :)

    Happy customizing!
