Ah, they've finally got a Raph figure who can grip his sais between the prongs (probably not the right word, but you know what I mean). *Sighs* Any word on an Australian release yet? I keep myself away from any method of buying things online, because I wouldn't be able to control myself.
I saw the figures with the display bases in Lee's Toy Review (or maybe it was Tomart's Action Figure Mag. I get them mixed up alot) this month but it didn't say anything about connecting the bases. Anyone know if that's possible? Two of em were sidewalk and two seemed terrain just off the walk, so I'm thinking yes. and yeah, coolest. figs. eva.
Ktulu, not only do you have one of the coolest avatar/sigs here, but you are a gentleman and a scholar as well!! And, copying and pasting won't do me any good. I recently became a fulltime employee from being a temp. They recently changed my computer logins, and 99% of all my bookmarks (which they migrated over from my old log in info) are now blocked, including Yahoo Mail, eBay, the site I mod for, and the site I run (click my sig). This, and JoeBattleLines (the forum is fine, but the main site is blocked) are the only ones that work now. Other coworkers (full time as well) are watching movies and playing games in their downtime - I can't even check my e-mail. So angry...
I love these, but I was always a fan of Eastman's designs and comics more. I hope they do his style next, because I love those boxy muscled turtles.
Cripes-i bought the re-release turtles a while back because they looked about as good as the old playmates, were cheap and easy to find. but then they went back to being all playmates and greedy like with all the variants and characters that i didn't recognize. i hope they keep these guys simple and give us the basic set of characters. Romero should be as wild as the series gets. and all look that good.
I gasped and put my hand over my mouth when I saw those pictures... These figures are going to be amazing. (Just bought NECA's Legacy of Kain Raziel figure, I'm sure it'll happen one day, but they have yet to disappoint me.) (Well...the headphone cord twisted off of Patrick Bateman's walkman, Hitman kinda leans a little far, and I snapped Altair's back dagger putting it into the sheath, but really, those've been my only real complaints so far...)
Go here to see the box set in package, and also the NY Comic Con exclusive box set. Click pics to enlarge. http://the-5th-turtle.blogspot.com/2008/03/tmnt-quadrophenia.html
Yep. If you aren't going to NYCC, ebay will probably be your only means. As bugmenot said, 1 per customer. They're also limited to I belive 500. I'm going to the show, but hoping to pick one up for myself.
At first I was like "ZOMG MUST GET EXCLUSIVE" but then I realized it's just like the regular box set, with the extra accessories that come with the single packs added in. And I'm already getting the single packs. The only thing that would of made this worthwhile would be getting it autographed by Peter Laird, who's supposed to be at the booth too. P.S. New pics of the single packs: http://the-5th-turtle.blogspot.com/2008/03/neca-blister-360.html
thanks for that news, Cat. For a minute, I thought the display bases only came in that exclusive and my suddenly agenda-free NYCC weekend got ruined for a spell.
So can someone tell me the difference between the two BBTS pre orders? One says set of 4 turtles with display bases and the other says set of 4 tube packed turtles. I'm a little confused. Now I am seeing there is also a boxed set... LOL I pre ordered all 3 sets just in case.
