i have such a huge boner right now!!!...only thing i've wanted more than a classic Skyfire was a Devy, and we're already getting two of those...what a great Christmas!!!

 

If this keeps on the right track, with a few tweaks here and there. This is so bought!

 

Looks boxy as hell. It looks like an old G1 toys with added articulations. Not terrible, but looks off if they want this to fit with Classics or something (only assuming that's what they want since it's probably the most popular series for G1-inspired stuff).

Makes sense and all, since it's made to be a show accurate, articulated version of a G1 character. If you want a show-accurate Skyfire, it's probably your thing. If not, it's pretty useless.

 

While I would LOVE to see an MP/CHUG scaled Jet/Skyfire, this isn't quite doing it for me. It just looks off - I really hope this is still a work in progress.

I don't own that figure, but it seems to be panned on a fairly regular basis here...

Besides, Jet/Skyfire is one of those characters they can do with MP style detailing and scale, and have it work with Classics figures as well. I hope he stands well taller than MP Grimlock and the Seekers.

 

Looks horrible. Is the entire jet mode just the backpack? Porportions are off as well, the torso is too big.

Have a Radicon repaint a 1/48 scale Yamato Super VF-1S, there's the best Classics Jetfire/Skyfire you can get

 

interesting, but a pass for me. I'm only interested in Third Party stuff when it fills a need, like Reflector or Devastator. Not so much for Jetfire.

 

I'd say all that does is make me appreciate how well the Classics mold interpreted the character...

 

What is with that alt mode, backpack, and torso in relation to the arms and legs? That's...ugh..


The only cool part is the weapons that attach to the hands. And that it's big.

 

Whatever it is, it's a more toon accurate version. It could either be intended for the Classics line, or something geared toward Masterpiece. Either way, it's distinct enough from the official Classics release, which people either love or hate, or it answers the request for an MP-styled Skyfire.

 

Little hand mounted jet boosters like that would look really nice on the Classics Jetfire.

Did no one think to just make some leg armour and a rifle for Classics Jetfire then ?

It's very similar to the resin casts of Pistol Megatron and Ultra Magnus which had that similar primitive looking Cartoon focused look to them.

They should still be in the news stream someplace....
