This seems in line with what we've seen in trailers, toys and on the set of filming. We got a shot of Prime towing a pyrotechnics trailer, people worried it was going to be destroyed, seems it could be the one doing the destroying. This contradicts what we've heard in the DOTM game, which is a prequel. Unless this is flashabck time (which it culd be) Megatron gets his Earth mode before the movie. This seems likely. Sleek cars become sleek bots in the movie, ala Sideswipe and jazz. This I have a hard time believing, as many sources contradict each other. We've heard he's an SUV in the game. But this also fits with the game render showing him as silver with Mercedes rims on his back. Grain of salt taken, but I don't think this is far-fetched.
I'd hoped that was a transformer... but not Soundwave. I don't like it for Soundwave at all. Though it is at least bigger than a boombox.
Damn it, I thought Soundwave was going to be big, not a frickin' car...I would have rather he stayed in his Cybertronian mode from RotF actually...
Most satellites are the size of small cars and in ROTF he just just a little smaller than the satelite he linked with, so it's believable.
Hmmmm... very, very interesting, if true. Thanks for sharing. 1.) Prime's trailer: Cool. Tres cool. 2.) Megatron's cape: So, does this mean we get to see him in both modes (Cybertronian tank and Earth truck) in the movie? I'd like that. 3.) Can't wait to find out who this Ferrari-bot is. 4.) I have to agree that I was hoping that Soundwave would retain his satellite mode. I liked it, and I thought that it suited him quite well. And I would prefer my Bayformers Soundwave to be larger than that, upwards of Optimus-sized, close to Starscream's height, etc.. HOWEVER, if this bit about Soundwave being the Mercedes is true, I will be willing to forgive it if they address the fact that Soundwave is undercover and trying to spy on Sam/Carly and stuff. All we need is some dialogue between Megatron and Soundwave regarding "reconnaissance", "undercover missions", etc., and seeing that that's why he's now a sports car. Heck, seeing him reformat from a satellite to the sports car (to solidify to the audience what Soundwave is trying to do) ala Makeshift in Transformers: Prime would do the job. I just hope that they don't jump into that concept mid-stream - with Soundwave randomly showing up as the Mercedes and the audience not having a clue who it is or what he's doing.
Sounds good to me. This stuff happens all the time. My friend went to one of these merchandising/promo things and took some pics of the M&Ms/Snickers candy where we got a glimpse of the Twins. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...ickers-m-ms-revenge-fallen-candy-tie-ins.html Thanks for sharing!
It's not that I don't buy these claims, but they're all pretty logical conclusions to draw from things that we know already.
Well, we know how big Bumblebee is, and we know how big Ravage was compared to Bumblebee, and we know how big Ravage was compared to Soundwave, so we can deduce that that Mercedes is WAY too small to be Soundwave, without mass shifting being involved. I'm not saying OP is wrong, I'm saying if true then that is a less-than-desirable Earth mode.
I don't know how big this Merc is just that it is Soundwave. Some Merc sports cars are NOT small so maybe his bot mode will be same size as Bee.
Look at post #43. That's a tiny tiny car, any robot coming out of that thing has got to be smaller than Bumblebee. Now, if Soundwave is the blue mercedes, which is a 4-door, then that's a little bigger but still small compared to what we have seen.
big or small, to me it only matters if soundwave's doing his JOB, and kicking ass! i just hope he still has his lazers and badass weaponry.im also hoping(since obviously his role will be big)that he will get plenty of screen time, unlike in rotf where you saw random decepts getting knocked down by missles and explosions and sht, and they barely even got any screen time with bay focusing on the damn military all the time!
