Didn't see this posted, but if it is, would a mod please delete it?

Here's a USA Today article on TF: Prime. In my opinion it makes it sound like Animated NEVER even existed and that the series was dead until The Bay resurrected it. But that's my take.

Also, note the very short footage from the series. Arcee's face looks odd. Like the music. But the animation looks almost like a video game. I dunno. Make your own judgments.

man, if that is Soundwave's face....I like it!

That is the first I have seen that...didn't look to "advanced" as far as CGI goes....at first I thought beast machines?

Still looking forward to a great story....Not to mention the toys...interested to see how they do them...

    edit: NOT SOUNDWAVE...

It appears to be one of the Decepticon Troopers, which are called Eradicons. Good name for a sub-group.

That's not Soundwave. The caption says it's an Eradicon, one of the Decepticon drones in the video that get destroyed by Arcee/Bumblebee.

But that was awesome. :D  Transformers: Prime can't come soon enough!

Yeah, I'm still iffy on the animation. Definitely looks like a video game. Hopefully there's still some polishing work being done in the month before premiere.

    An "untextured" video game.

Looks decent for Kiddy-TV-grade CGI. My biggest criticism (which can be applied to a lot of CG animation that doesn't have years of experience behind it) is that there's no real feel of weight/inertia to the motion.

Them Autobots like to attack by jumpin' on folks, don't they? I like Arcee's "Twist yer head off" maneuver. :)

Exactly my thoughts when I saw it. Let's hope the writing makes up for it.

It's obviously unfinished, with no lighting or texturing, but damn that's going to look HELL of awesome when fully rendered.

What's weird is that the footage that appeared in the commercial (with OP saying "Autobots, roll out") looked a bit more done than this. Weird.

Also, I love the emotions on the character faces.

I hope that's not the final rendering.

The animation and models themselves are very good. But the textures/backgrounds are sorely lacking in this animation.

The animation looks... sort of off. Hopefully this does good enough so they can up the quality.

Yah some of it looks off but some of it looks pretty good. I did get a little excited till the glowing bumblebee eyes....

Like others have said, this doesn't look final compared to the other stuff we've seen. I mean those backgrounds could have come right out of Beast Machines. Looking at it again, Bumblebee's missing some frames when he flies up in vehicle mode. He skips several spaces and his models appear/vanish like they didn't have a middle ground transformation effect in place.

Also, Arcee just decapitated that drone... D:

Also Also: Pew pew goes the lasers. Looks like integrated weaponry like the comic may become the norm. I would be cool with this if they replicate it as the gimmick of the toy line.

It seems like a cartoon version of the movies. Will give it a try.

I sorely hope that's just test footage, the first teaser we got was visually very appealing, this reminds me of a PS1 video game. Not impressed.
