Weird vivid memories of a bad bad pill come to mind, with glowsticks and a bad taste in my mouth, but damn, I really liked that song kinda 7 out of 10 could be better with a wee bit less synthesis. I really liked the g1 attitude at the end. The beginning is so incredibly sweet though.

Oh my word, that was geektastic. I could see a very dramatic movie with that theme.

 

No, I don't think that was it at all. Vince had a piece of music he had been tinkering with, and since he didn't get the job, he decided to just give it to us rather than let it go unheard. Having met him briefly at past cons, he always seemed like a really nice guy, and this I thought was just a considerate gesture on his part.

The movie gig is already taken, he says as much in his message, so he's just doing this to be nice. I think he's a class act, and appreciate the gesture... but I'm at work, so I'll have to wait to get home to listen to it.  

 

Here is a scary yet interesting thought.. What if Trent Reznor did the music?

Wow, alot better than I thought it would be. I am impressed, but still not movie worthy. Could be fit for a TV series though. hmmmmmm....

 

If it were another animated movie, it might work. Some of it would work for the new movie. However, the orginal theme is cheesy and would never be in a Michael Bay film. That is for sure. But I would love to hear the Autobot vs Decepticon battle music in the movie. Its the music shortly after the TF theme. I think that is only familiar to fans of the Animated movie and is not cheesy at all.

I really hope someone releases the TF:TM complete orginal score again. Can't get it anywhere for less than $100, which is crazy.

 

You hit the nail on the head. I don't think it would fit with a live action movie, but this type of music fits more with animation.

But it needs more cowbell...
