Nice stuff, though the Deva-legs walk kinda funny. :)

hey I remember seeing those legs once before. This concept would be a good idea for a teaser trailer.

the concept and execution were nicely done (aside from texture mapping from a decade ago on game consoles). too bad it's just a jester's joke. cool effort- i'd recommend more shading on Devs; he has that famous "Star Trek: NG" "shine" to him (as they had on all their CG ships. Overall, excellent work, great sound, and nice small touches like showing the VW we WON'T be seeing, and tossing your name on the pontiac.

I really appreciate - and enjoy - what you did with all of the live-action stuff. The let-down - and I'm sorry to use that term, but it's the only thing that went through my head when I saw the preview - was the Devastator Photoshop animation. Those Devastator legs look GREAT as a standalone photoshop image, but they just look out of place when used as part of such crisp and well-filmed live footage.

There are a lot of CG artists both on this board and on the Murphy board with whom you could collaborate. Honestly, I think it would make your preview leaps-and-bounds better if you inserted a pair of CG legs of any Autobot/Decepticon treading through the streets. Devastator's legs as an animation is an interesting - and neat - experiment, but I don't think that animation really has a place here.

The rest of the preview, though - fantastic. I'm not sure what type of camera you're using, but the recording quality is beautiful, cinematic and definitely parallel with the excellent work you've done before.

I know what you mean...though it was done for a contest and I was under the impression that you had to do everything yourself. So I made do the best way I knew how.

Aight, that's fair. Well, with what you did - all filmed and SFX'ed by Jester alone, then I'd say that's one hell of an undertaking for whatever film competition in which you used this. As I said before, it's a fantastic piece of work.

    Great job, Jester.

Haven't seen the other comp entries at CG Talk, but yours looks really good and you should be proud.

That was pretty alright. The motion graphics aspect was a lot better than those legs though. Devistator seemed a litte stiff and 2D. More joint motion in the ankles or something.

Great video. Excellent job on the cinematography. Your trailers showcase your talent very well. I hope you end up making some more trailers before the movie comes out. :thumb
