Just beat me to it, I was just posting it. Looks awesome, as always with Tim Burton movies.
They have really banked on using Depp to sell this film. I am a little hazy on the details of the story, but I thought that the Mad Hatter was more of a side character...
Wait, who directed this?
Looking good, really good!
Yay! Cheshire Cat was always one of my favorite Disney characters. He looks pretty sick in this movie too.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
So now the Mad Hatter is the star of Alice in Wonderland?
It's Tim Burton so it's not going to be a literal translation of the book or the original movie. So, yes, the Mad Hatter may be a main character now - who cares, as long as it's a good story.
Besides, would you rather market the movie with Johnny Depp as the star or Anne Hathaway?
One thing we need to keep in mind is that this is not the original Alice in Wonderland story. This story apparently takes place 10 years after the events in Alice in Wonderland, as Alice is about to get Married and once again gets pulled back into Wonderland.
That basically means anything goes and Burton is free to do what he wants with the characters. I really like this angle because AIW has already been done to death so this will be more interesting to me.
Actaully, I had forgotten that this is a new story. For some reason I was thinking that it was a remake while watching the trailer.
Makes sense now.
Mad Hatter is Alice's companion through Wonderland. I can live with it.
Fuck yes awesome.
Looks as good as I thought I would be.
It's not up anymore. Any other places to see it?
Disney Warnered the video.
Alan Rickman as the Caterpiller. I can't wait to see how they use that.
I Have A New Video Up Now.
Urgh. For something so wild and whimsical it's awfully dull and predictable.
I'm gonna go buy shares of Hot Topic in anticipation.
Looks great, can't wait to see it!
Anne. She looks hot as the White Queen... but that's just me and I know it's never gonna happen in a Tim Burton movie.
