I'd galdly get another TFC-00 if that's the case.

I really regret selling mine. My TFC lineup is incomplete without him :(

5000 Yen for reissues of Prime and Megatron seems relatively low (?)

Why would Takara re-release TFC Megatron at the start of the year, only to re-release the toy again 7 months later?

I think it would be a great name for Clasics. The pricing and the fact that Soundwave is listed makes me wonder what's going on though.

I too thought it was Takara Classics... and to address this:
Remember how Hasbro included Soundwave in Classics? Perhaps Takara is doing it as well, using the double capacity door.

Yes, i remembered that. I should probably give up trying to figure out what reasoning Takara use these days when it comes to TFs.

If these were Classics, where are Jetfire, Astrotrain and the others?

They strike me as too expensive for Classics, as much as I'd love Takara Classics (mainly for a recoloured Megs, though blowing FP's parade with the other seekers would prove to me karma existed).

    Almost certainly re-reissues.

Aren't the newly re-released Takara deluxe BW figures overpriced too?

Why would a Reissue Soundwave be cheaper than a Classics Optimus Prime, if they were to be Classics?

$40 for a Classics Prime can be difficult to justify, even in Japan. However, a larger figure for lesser cost in the line would make it appear even stranger.

Who knows. IIRC, Hasbro said adding diecast to an Alt costs about 20 cents extra per toy, but Takara priced BTs at 2X the cost of Alts. Wouldn't be the first time they demanded a premium for a toy because it's 'made for collectors'.

I, too, am betting these are Classics.

I would love to be proven wrong, though.

Interesting. If they're straight reissues I'll pass but if Prime has the blue details, I'll bite.

been looking for a reissue Prime but they go for around $120 on ebay. Even the KO Primes are really expensive. Makes sense for Takara to get back in on the demand.

Can't wait to hear more about these. I missed out on anime colored Starscream, and would love if they reissued that again. If these are, in fact, reissues.

Renewal? Hmm... Maybe Takara is doing a complete revamp of the designs from G1? I know that's kinda what Classics was but they were redesigned a bit. I'm hoping these'll be G1 figures with modern changes.

For example, all the decals replaced by normal paint so that Prime's shoulder emblem fits flush on his arm. Also, maybe some clicky-joints added in and maybe some updated sculpts so that Prime's head isn't so squat and looks more the the cartoon. Also, this is their chance to throw in some accesories like Prime's matrix and ALL the tapes for Soundwave. *drools*
