Oh you may want to correct the Galaxy typo as well - I did loads in the original article (shouldn't try and translate, post and revise for a test at the same time).

It's interesting as the Megatron and Meglo-Convoy were never annouced as released

    Cool stuff for the winners.

Seems like there's more money to be made if they did very small production runs on these type of specialty items and charged a high price for them. I'd gladly pay $100-$150 each for an all-gold Galaxy Convoy, a clear Sixshot, etc... If Takara did production runs of like 500-1000 each, it seems like they would do quite well.

Yes I can afford them, and no I'm not jealous of those who have them. I have similar distaste for convention exclusives - I don't like to see anyone have difficulty getting a fig they want for their collection.

I thought the Gold Megalo-Convoy was released as a lucky draw? I have a picture of it from one of those Japanese kiddy magazines. I don't think I've ever seen the gold Megatron, but if all the others were previous releases, I'm betting he was too....

Yeah that's what I mean. They were annouced as prizes, but did TV Magazine ever annouce the winners? I know they didn't during my subscription (which went up to the end of the Transformers line) and Fan to Fan have not mentioned anything.

Oh, did anyone else pic up on the THC-03 news in there? They are asking for feedback from the people who enter. Does this mean TakaraTomy are planning on a 3rd release?
What do you make of the "designer" question as well. It's not like many people know who designs what, so are they talking about non-toy designers - I assume so.

I do believe this will oficially put to rest any debate over whether more than one of each of these special items is produced, even when only one is awarded for a contest, or ever awarded in any number of contests.

Clearly, Alvarez was correct (I recall his wqord on this being questioned) as to ther ebeing at LEAST a full mold press worth of production on each specialty version.

I imagine they mean mecha designers, in which case this page may help some of you out,
    http://www.gearsonline.net/designers/

Kunio Okawara would be my choice, as the designer of all the brave robots he could do a really powerfull and heroic looking God Ginrai. :rock

If I understand the rules properly, there's a postcard that comes with the THS Convoy. We have to use that to enter the contest. Am I right?

Kunio Okawara is no stranger to takara either, he was behind Votoms and Gaogaigar. I would be surprised if Hajime katoki was chosen

Now who are those designers listed though, anyone translate yet? And which tfs are listed for vote?

Nice, I would like to see a mini mega cool G1 megatron, or a star scream. Heck, I would take Soundwave.

No, they (TakTom) are only referring to a "official" post card for domestic use, which is available in any post office in Japan :)
The entry needs to have "Robot Point" square cut out from THS-2 box on the postcard.

And Kunio Okawara (I'd been thinking it was Ogawara past 20 years or so) was GOD of mechas in early times, but I think he's too old now...He still gets credits in recent Gundam series but I hear it's in the name only.

G1 megatron and no one else, especially since he will probably never get the masterpiece or robotmasters treatment.

*sigh* Despite the merger I see we still haven't moved beyond lousy gold and silver chromed lucky draw figures :redface2:
