That looks rather like the Trans-Scanning Prime / BB that came out for the first movie. Wasn't very good then, either :lol

Reminds me of Gundam Real Grade model kits. Trans-scanning did not sell well, so I do not think these will be more successful.

Since they don't need to transform, I am hoping they will be bigger than the relatively tiny Trans Scanning figures, so that we can use the skeletons for generic protoform Autobots and Decepticons.

Generic frame for super posable transformers. You can swap shell parts to make something unique out of it.

I think Trans-scanning figures should be seen as an Extension of the Microman toys Takara were making just prior to their release - they are quite similar in size and features to them.

Those look like they'd make interesting display pieces - I suspect the same idea would also work with Ironhide & 1970's Bumblebee too.

    Heck I'd prefer a 1970's Bumblebee one.

I donno. I'd find these kinda neat, if I still cared about the movie characters.

These could be good, depending on how they look.

Finally, I've been waiting years for TT to get the idea into their heads that TF model kits could be a good money spinner. These look like a nice start, super accurate and poseable diy action figures? Sure why not. :D

According to the article, the base body is pre-built and all you have to do is cut the parts off the tree and attach to the body. Prime will come with stickers to add detail. Sounds interesting.

Due out in late June, Prime is 8800yen :) eek:) , 'Bee is 3800yen.
    1/35 scale :)

Spoilsport is already reported, but Caliburst is indeed new. TRU jp exclusive apparently.

For the right price these could be half decent. I'd be concerned about the durability of these - I mean, are they designed as toys or models?

Considering the price, it should be decent, I hope!

I've just realised the series name is "Dual Model", Takara sold many robot toys under that name. The Dual Model I have (Scopedog) has a mainly diecast base body, and plastic parts. I doubt it is the same style though.
