Lockdown is not a remold of TLK Barricade i think but of Cogman
I highly doubt lockdown is a remold of anyone, all of these figures are new molds so far except Crowbar using some vehicle bits from Berserker.
Lockdown it's just using old engeenering. Not a remold.
(From the NYTF)
Oh snap! Didn’t notice that. He looks a million times better than that sad little deluxe was. I still resent his immense backpack.
Ohthankgod I was thinking how awful the arms looked. This is definitely worth a purchase to me, especially since I sold Peru Kill.
That’s what 3P is for. Generally much larger and more accurate figures for more money. In theory they don’t have to worry about licensing alt-modes, safety issues, or parts count cause they’re not official.
Bumblebee isn't. He uses TLK Deluxe parts. (as evidence by, well, being the exact same parts but also having TLK-specific details on them)
I hope Walmart gets a lot of these in or else it may be hard for me to find them that said they look fantastic! As does EVERY figure in this line including Ratchet. ....
That's exactly what I was thinking! It shows just how big Lockdown is showing they are really going for scale. Megatron is even taller then Prime. Albeit less tall then he appeared in the pic next to Grimlock (due to Prime standing ab inch behind Megs and Grim)
He's quite tall. Voyager-ish size height from the looks of things. See pic
Jazz has always used his front of the car as the front chest in 2007 the Fast Action Battler and deluxe to Human Alliance to now.
Though they are the same details the parts are resized so that requires new tooling. Making it a new mold by technicality.
They're not resized, though. His head and lower arms are the exact same parts, for instance. His lower legs are just shorter.
ah after inspection you are correct, I thought most of the parts were resized due to the size difference. My apologies.
TBF the figure is like 80% brand new. And I was wrong, it's not just the lower legs but the legs completely that are changed.
now this is the lockdown i wish we got in TLK. i'd love to get my hands on this one.
are they showing up online anywhere?
Really? He's great except 1) backpack syndrome, tiny hands and tiny feet. Other than that he looks great.
Pin wheels on all 4 wheels on Lockdown? John Warden must have stroked out over that decision.
It'd be nice if that were an option, but unfortunately 3P companies are taking their damn sweet time releasing any movie products.
I also can't deny that I'd much rather pay Hasbro for toys that they designed of characters that they created, but they're not exactly keeping me hooked at the moment.
Most Bayformers have backpack syndrome, sadly a consequence of movie designs where the car roofs disappear into the ether in robot mode.
Jazz looks fantastic even with the transformed-by-a-Hasbro-temp chest, and Lockdown is really striking. I feel bad for anyone who preordered the MB versions before these were revealed...
So now that stryker2 is actually a repack of wave 1 Bumblebee, what do you guys think will happen to those other codenames and the rest of the deluxes and what do you guys think will happen about the Bumblebee line?
…I’m sorry, but this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. In no way, shape, or form could that even be possible. How the crap could you even see that?
Actually DCon, you didn’t have to go to the trouble of finding/making this photoshop, cause Lcokdown and Jazz were displayed next to each other at Toy Fair:
Where did you hear that Stryker 2 is a Wave 1 Bumblebee repack? I’ve never seen that and I’m pretty sure the information available about these code names says otherwise.
Nevermore said it on the first page post 5.
