What's this all about then?
I have heard nothing about it. It could be good.
gawd, more Teen Titans animation. The typical hollywood formula, if it works once repeat and repeat until it doesn't make anymore money.
Looked a little more like Ben 10 to me -that's a good thing.
Doesn't look that much like the Teen Titans, really. More a cross between DCAU and Xmen: Evolution.
Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner. The character designer on the new Spidey used to draw the Teen Titans Animated comic!
Think of it this way, in 08 between Spidey, Legion, Titan (reruns), The Batman, Ben10, Transformers Animated, etc, etc, all american animated shows will just feel like one giant series. Or is that one giant pile....
Hey, at least we are getting American produced animation going main stream again. Im not into any of it, but id rather watch this crap when im too lazy to change the channel than imported kids anime crap. Even if this is a bastard rip off of that style.
I love all of those shows you mentioned (well, I haven't seen the new Transformers, of course).
I really have no problem with this style, but I do not know if it will apply well to Transformers.
The Fantastic Four is not animated in the Teen Titans style.
This can't be any worse than the CG "I am so hip and cool" Spider-man cartoon that was on MTV a few years back.
it's based on the ultimate spiderman comic.
The CW Network has announced the official title of the new Spider-Man animated series scheduled to debut in early 2008. The series will be titled The Spectacular Spider-Man, and will air on the KidsWB! network on Saturday mornings. Greg Weisman (Gargoyles) will be the supervising producer, and Victor Cook (Hellboy: Blood and Iron) will be producer/supervising director.
If it's better than anything after season 1 of the Spider Man cartoon, or nearly as good as the MTV CG cartoon, I'll give it a chance....
... what... someone from Teen Titans involved in THIS too????
.......... I changed my mind. Burn it.
They're actually giving Spidey the webbing that's under his armpits.
That's gotta be a first for ANY Animated/live action adaptation.
This gives me hope
wait wait wait... it's based off of Ultimate Spider-man?!?
SO FUCKING WATCHING!!!
Looks awesome! Can't wait!
I love Ultimate Spider-Man, so I'll probably check this out. but if it's based on Ultimate Spider-Man, he shouldnt have the webbing under his armpits. not that that'll be a problem.
and yeah, I'm getting pretty sick of all US animation looking the same. this is just another in that massive pile. I can look past the repetitive art and animation style if it's good. I just pray it's better than that "Spider-Man Unlimited" shit that the old fox series turned into.
Based on Ultimate Spiderman?
Now that's something to be excited about!
Unless the animation is incredibly bad, I generally don't care what the visual style is like, so long as the writing is strong. However...
So, we can expect three episodes worth of exposition and dragged-out conversations for every one episode worth of action? And Spider-Man appearing so rarely they might as well call it Peter Parker: The Animated Series? Some of the general ideas from the USM universe are interesting, but if this show has the same writing style as Ultimate Spider-Man, I'll definitely avoid watching it.
Ultimate Spider Man the game was based on that comic too... and you see how THAT turned out....
Oh God help us....what is up with the cartoons of all of our comic heroes turning into &^%*??? It's the invasion of the Teen Titan animation...
I thought that with a great story line like Ultimate Spiderman you would have at least an inkling of decent animation..but I was using logic..sorry...
Well technically in the 80's Sunbow was doing 60% of the shows on air in the states. If a U.S. company sees that another company did well with so and so designs. Typically they will copy it and use it till the public is sick of it.
