Oh Tfprime32, you're so... youthfully inexperienced.

Hasbro = Takara. There's really little difference. One is the Japanese distributor, one is the rest of the world, but they share the same design staff. And funny that HasTak manage to put out product matching the general quality of Third Party products at a fraction of the cost at retail and far more often. Plus, lets not forget that Hasbro is the only component of this trio of TF products that actually moves the property forward intellectually with Third Parties merely retreading old ground and Takara releasing maybe half of each line with slightly altered decoes afterward.

So its a hybrid style SD edition of Prime? It's quite the homage as that alt mode looks just as bad!

But seriously if that thing rocks some serious articulation....I might have to pick one up..

Need to buy this. Don't care about the vehicle mode, but that robot mode is awesome.

Judging by the visible articulation points it seems to eb pretty well covered.

Also yeah the truck mode is awful, but it is an SD.

Well, that guy looks pretty nice for an SD figure. Save for the alt mode.

Where the hell does his head go in truck mode? I got a feeling that it goes into the paper trailer.

None the less pretty cool. Think I'll keep my eye on this also.

Truck mode is one of the bigget failure ever in the TF world but the robot mode is great, way better than Primars imo.

I might pick him up if the price is right.

Ok... out of all of the third party products I've seen in the past 6 months... ALL OF THEM... this right here is the only must-have.

not to mention, hasbro's releasing toy after toy, after toy, of the dotm line, while takara is releasing the same optimus prime molds over and over and over again, just with a jetpack, or black, or something.

at least when hasbro does repaints/remolds, it gets creative with them. what's so creative about a toy painted black???

as for this third party toy; it looks alright, not sure if i'd buy it though. i guess it depends on the price.

but as it is, probably will pass on it.

more so looking forward to seeing takara's version of the prime toys.

but, let's face it, other then reissues, takara has been really lacking. they're not nearly as awesome as they used to be, back when they were doing beast wars 2, and neo. where they did their own figures *sure mostly reissues from earlier lines* and their own shows. as well. were they as high quality of hasbro's beast wars? no, but they still did it! and they still tried!

hell, takara's neo line had a lot of original molds, i mean, come on, they had a robot with balls, and boxed alcohol! what's more epic then that?

and what is the best thing they come up these days? painted black transformers??
