Back when Universe Galvatron came out, we all know the story of how he was supposed to be a bigger toy but was scaled down to deluxe size. He was hated by many and those whose did like him said he should've been bigger. My question is do you think Hasbro could or would ever go back and revisit Galvatron? Do you think he could have a brand new figure or possibly upsize the one he had to begin with as it should've been? What are your thoughts?
I would love a new two pack of Rodimus and Galvatron in the Generations line. I've only got Rodimus and have been spoiled by the incredible articulation of recent figures so would love a new one up to those standards.
it is possible that Hasbro could bring out a new voyager mold. I don't necessarily think that they would upscale the current deluxe figure though.
I would totally settle for WfC Megatron being recolored into Galvatron (but would prefer if it has a new head).
a new galvatron and rodimus would be really awesome. Maybe they'll fit them both into the line sometime in the future
Some fans have repainted Cybertron Evac as Galvatron. I think it looked great. For an Earth mode... And repaints are cheap. Easy money for Hasbro...
I don't think they will, but I'd love to see a new Galvatron in the updated G1-style that Classics/Universe/Generations brought us. I've already done one Galvatron custom back in 2007/2008 and I'm working on a better Galvatron (started it in early 2010), simply because I didn't think they'd give us a Galvatron....and when they did, it kinda sucked due to the small size. I want something that stands toe to toe with Prime, Megatron, and the FansProject Protector Rodimus....something around that voyager scale (which is what my second Galvy custom is being done in).
At this point I'm just hoping a Masterpiece Galvatron will be made soon. I would also love to see a RTS Legends Galvatron. It looks as they've done a wonderful job with the G1 gun Megatron. It would be funny if a legends version were to be produced and ended up be better than the Universe Deluxe, though very possible.
It would be nice to see an updated voyager Galvatron for this line. If not then maybe some 3rd party company like Fansproject can help out. As for Masterpiece Galvatron... he must be made after looking at the Rodimus Convoy pics today!
Blanket Statement: Whatever Hasbro and Takara are least likely to do, whatever is in the best interests of their shareholders, is an afront to our intrinsic rights as Transformer fans.
I think we can safely file this under 'wishful thinking'. Masterpiece Galvatron seems more likely at this stage.
Possibly in the post-movie Classics line. It would be nice to see the Universe version done as a Voyager with more stability and functionality (usable hands, able to mount the cannon on either arm). The idea of retooling WfC Megatron into Galvatron is alright also, mainly just change the hands and weapons. He certainly deserves better than what he got last time. +-MWG-+
