I know Im going "caps" crazy but this is by far the worse looking movie Transformer ever...man Im so PISSED OFF I need to stop looking at that picture.But Im going to shake my head in disgust when I see who ever it is when the movie comes out....it was bad enough with the spitting Starscream lol

I like the face, but is it just the angle of that shot or is he really damn short ?

It would be great if he transformed into a Delorean...

 

Actually, from a purely artistic standpoint, this head concept is actually quite good. yeah for Transformers it's a little weird, but there's nothing wrong with it as just a piece of art. Same goes for any movie design. They're all intricate, creative and interesting, even if you don't like them as Transformers designs.

Speaking of evolving, I see this design as a natural evolution of how TF designs have become, in a good way. Animated took the robots with human characteristics idea to a new level, and the Movies are just expanign on that same principle with a different style.

You could argue for the same reason a human does. Just because their robots doesn't mean they can't break, and doesn't mean they can be easily fixed, either.

Also, from a logic standpoint: no reason, but then again there's no real reason for them to talk, have faces of any kind or be bipedal. It's a movie.

 

Yeah I do actually. Do you like the looks of the twins in movie 2? If so, good for you. I think their faces are such bad design it hurts my eye just thinking about them. This is more of the same. Looks like Darth Vader got glasses and bizzare hair weaves.

Just my opinion, but I don't think Bay is an artist. Not only does he shoot unclear geography and have zero grasp of the continuity of his films (so much so as to let a character like Wheelie - literally vanish from Act 3 of movie 2)... He has no grasp of fantasy like someone directing these films should. For directors who have artistic taste that can do fantasy right, see: Peter Jackson, James Cameron, Guiermo Del Torro, Zach Snyder. Bay is an immature frat boy who made some car commercials and music videos and somehow got a hold of a franchise that creatively demands what he can't deliver. Box office-wise he nailed it, but movie 2 is arguably one of the worst films ever made. (I did like Movie 1 okay, FYI) And since he gets final say, we get a face that looks as lame as this guy. IMO, of course. To each their own...

 

If that's Wheeljack, I LOVE it. Gives off a great "mad scientist vibe" a la Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd would be a perfect VA here). The hair lighting up as he talks would be awesome too.

One idea I have regarding the hair (if I was directing this, that is) would be that at the start of the film his head is completely domed, and later on he gets hit in the head, knocking off the covering and exposing the circuitry like it is now.
