i'm callin' fake just based on the font used on the first one and the fact that it's not centered.

Most likely won't change at all for the sequel. Even so, they look fake.

These are real, I have a friend who knows a friend who worked with Bay so he told me....

Seriously though. The "We Are Here. We Are Waiting" poster looks fake, the second one looks like it could definately be used, even if it is a rendering.

I disagree. For aesthetics, sequel, merchandising, etc...Hasbro and Bay wouldn't be stupid to re-roll the original figures for this sequel.

From what I've been hearing and seeing, it looks like everyone's getting a revamp.

Interesitjng that both Orci and Nelson from bays site have both emnthioned November as the start of a publicity blitz for the movie and that these are two images associated with the first movies game...

    with that^^^ i'd say FAKE!

    BUT.....

Who knows.... looks good either way

It's shocking that anyone with functioning eyeballs could think either of these are legit. Not only is the first one a totally out of date image clearly run through a quickie default Photoshop filter with one of the worst headline text font choices I've seen in quite a while, but the second one has all the telltale signs of bad airbrushing. See that 'black glow' around the title? That's no glow - it's just been copied & pasted from elsewhere, cut for sizing, and dropped into this image. If these were real, you wouldn't see that kind of amateur attempt of an effect.

Either that or Bay/Paramount/Dreamworks are budget crunching and apparently hiring any 13 year old kid with zero experience and a cracked copy of PS to do their print promo now.

True enough... not to mention hiring that dynamic duo to write movie scripts even though they should have been blacklisted after their stellar work on Mission Impossible 3, Hercules, Xena & Jack Of All Trades. Guess there are a lot of affordable options when you search the bottom of the barrel for 'talent' instead of hiring some actually reputable & good at what they do.

Then again, I almost forgot the history & F-Grade standards of the main guy who's pulling the strings here in the first place, so it all makes sense.

    :thumbs2:

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this. Easiest way to tell if not real? Design. Optimus Prime there uses the lower-res design that was used in merchandising, and promotion (and were also what the Prime toys were based upon).

How can you tell? The render there lacks the Movie CG model's big hood halves covering most of his stomach grill. This one just has these bits of angular metal.

But he was never convicted of DUI. You can get charged if police merely suspect you of a crime, but if there's no evidence it doesn't stick, and if there WAS, he would be convicted of something by now. And it's since been established that the wreck wasn't even his fault.

What's the betting that the official posters... if they ever arrive.... won't get as much coverage as all these darn fakes?
