Sweet! But I'm still worried how well DOTM will do once the final Harry Potter movie comes out.

That will be most intersting to see. I am expecting Potter to beat DOTM down but we will see what happens.

I'm not. $500 million is fantastic. Even if it doesn't hit the Big Bill, half of it is still nothing but good for the franchise.

That's probably as good as it'll get for DOTM. Over 2000 theaters are already sold out on opening night for Harry Potter. It currently has a 100% rating on RT. It'll hit 500 million in one day. :lol

You gotta admit, it true what they saying here. Love it or hate it has made Transformers main stream among alot folks. Yeah sure that guy that seen the movie and nothing else with the hand full of figures on the self gets annoying about how great the bay movies are but really thats where we need to step in and show them the richier history of Transformers.

Come on TF3 DOTM you can reach for $1billion!!!!!

    I'm amped about this!

Mainly because it makes it CERTAIN that there will be another TF movie! No movie studio is going to walk away from this kind of money...

Nice way to shoehorn that into the thread! Despite it's irrelevance!

I love that its doing well. I cant wait for a 4th or a new take on things. the more money it makes the better the future for Transformers looks. the more money it makes the more shows, comics, toys and movies we will make. as long as the general public keeps showing interest that is. :)

i wasn't shoehorning anything and it does have relevance, why? well that is simple, the amount of money the movie has made already according to this thread there will be more transformers movies so i would like to see someone else direct and that's it. the sensitivity is ridiculous at times with regards to bay.

So glad it is working well. Prove those critics wrong.

But I have a bad feeling that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 will crush that record

I'm happy for it. I've already seen it twice and definitely want to catch it one more time in theaters.

I could care less about Harry potter or how well it does. I'm glad for whatever DOTM will scrape in during the meantime. Remember, money will still come for the franchise after DVD/Blu Ray comes out and all of the various other merchendise sells (toys anyone?)
