    My idea:

Find a G1 junker seeker, (either conehead or normal).
Buy all parts individually, get some reprolabels, and hopefully, in time, have one of each of the G1 Seekers.

The reason for this thread is, I want to know who to do first, what parts I'll need, and where I can find pictures and assembly instructions for each.

I was going to do this as a poll, but I can't find a button with the words 'poll' anywhere on the board, so an opinion thing instead.

    1.Starscream
    2.Thundercracker
    3.Skywarp
    4.Dirge
    5. Ramjet
    6.Thrust

Part of me says to do Dirge first, being my name sake and all.

Another factor of choosing will be Price, I'm looking to start off 'cheap and cheerful', and depending on the success of this, I may go on to do this with the Combaticons, and Stunticons.

So, cast your vote, in the
'Help Dirge decide which seeker gets rebuilt' thread.

EDIT: Also, anyone know which has least parts, as I want to do an easy one first

2nd Dirge is a good one to start with

Stunticons & Combaticons are easy at the moment; there are a fair few cheap lots of parts/bots on ebay UK right now. I also have a spare Swindle, if you find you need one. As for the Seekers, there are a lot of sellers selling off parts right now, but I'd agree with Soundwarp; weight up whether the cost of parts seperately will cost more than reissues before getting anything.

so, it may be an idea to try and build a combiner first?

If you want cheap, complete is the way to go. When I was buying my gestalts, I bought most of them complete (or close to) and just for the heck of it I decided to get Bruticus one figure at a time. Ended up costing about double I think.

As for the seekers, I think Ramjet has the least peices. Gear, big wings, small wings, fists, and fuel tanks. No missles.

I bought a G1 Starscream (body and I think all but one of the wings) for a $1 from a guy I knew like 7 years ago. I found matching paint to touch up the chips in his body, bought enough of his missing parts to display him, and replaced nearly all his stickers with reprolabels. Now he looks good enough to display, though not great.

Sure you could just buy a reissue, but working on a project 'bot can be fulfilling.

Of course, I did end up buying the reissue as well...

I think, Im going to go for Menasor first, buy all the pieces, and then get some reprolabels and combiner parts.

I have done both bought complete or close to complete. And I also I piece together seeker and combiners. The prices come and go. For a few months Bruticus parts and bot you will be able to find them cheap. Then the price will go up and another Combine Or one of the seeker you may be able to get a good price on. It all up to you If you do not mean the hint for the parts Then go that way. But if you just want to finish off your collection buy them complete.

As far as the combiner go Try to keep all the bots all metal or all plastic chest. You can fine the combiner piece on ebay here and there. Or buy up weapons lots. That How I did it.
As far as the seeker planes go. Ramjet and Drige are the easier 2 to piece back together.
Thrust would come in around 3rd mainly because he has 2 short missiles and 2 long ones.
Star Scream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp. Are in my opintion some of the hard ones to piece back together.
For Starters Star Scream and Skywarp have their own color Fist.
All of them have 2 short and 2 long Missiles
Then you have the varinents on the wings solid or with the slot,
Then rudder you can have the large wholes or the small whole , Which in turn can hurt you when try to keep a small peg small wing (Stab Wing)in a large whole rudder piece.
i will try to find the link that talks about the different in the seeker jet for you. If you are not sure I would suggest buying cmplete seeker plane. And let some one else pull their hair out on completing seekers.
