with the new classic line and the pre-beast wars comic ending with him think there is any hope of us getting an all new predaking? i think it would rock hehe
In a line with barely any figures in an age where nothing of matching colors is allowed on the shelf at the same time, the odds of new Predacons are worse than the odds for a Twin Twist reissue... Though I wouldn't object to seeing it.
That'll be totally awesome if they can: 1) make 5 distinctly different Transformers 2) make it possible to combine them as gestalt 3) all with animal inspired forms 4) color scheme the same with all of them 5) comes with wing, sword, arm cannon as accessories, along with individual weapons 6) lion head on the chest of gestalt If they can do all that I'll buy 3!
No way those Predicons from the Timelines comic will ever be made. They were based on customs that were on display at Botcon. there's pictures of them somewhere, but I don't feel like searching for them.
The worst thing is that we will see Predaking (the reissue) in Classics packaging mock-ups only to be scrapped like the Universe Seacons in favor of....Classics Bruticus and Classics Superion.
Screw it... if they give us 5 new Predacon molds that turn into cool mech-animals and combine into a killer robot, I don't care what colour they make them! It WILL be mine! zmog
A Classics Predaking would be great, but it would have to be very similar to G1 Predaking, including color, animal type, placement in combined form, and weapons (both individual and combined) with the poseability of Classics.
Would I want it? Hell yeah! Expect it? not so much. A repaint or two along the lines of the Botcon comic designs seems a little more likely.
Well, the G1 Predaking is one of the line's best mecha but yeah, I won't mind if Hasbro come up with a new Predaking but I won't have high hopes for them.
Based on the last time they turned out a new combiner, there may only be three actual new new molds. Some things are just best left alone.
The main thing about the 'repaintful' Energon combiners was they did three combiners at once on relatively short notice. On the other hand, repeated molds on a Predaking-type combiner could almost work. Have two cat limbs, one with spots and one with stripes, for example. Preferable that they don't take that approach, however.
not to be rude but if you guys read the news section containing what hasbro said at the botcon they explained that the constructicons and possibly the seacons will be the only classic combiners. I WANT PREDAKING TOO DAMNIT

It's entirely feasible that they could make a new Classics Predaking. It would also be one of the coolest damn things ever if they did. It would also probably be a really cold day in hell. Ultimately, I think if we get any other gestalts in Classics, it will be either Superion or Bruticus. And we all know what those would look like.
There are so many figures I'd rather see before the Predacons. Heck, there are so many COMBINERS I'd like to see first. Repaints of the Energon Superion and Bruticus would be all right. But the ones that would really make me ecstatic would be new molds for Menasor and Defensor. After all those are done.... plus a bunch of 84-85 Autobot cars, minibots, Soundwave, and minions.... then Blaster and Perceptor.... then the movie characters..... then bring on the Predacons, no problem.
