Sorry if it's been posted before. New Play Control! - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia!
Basicly the same Gamecube game all over again, just with better graphics and it uses the Wii's controls...
I'll pass, unless a game comes out I missed out on the GCN...

I thought the same thing... *shrugs* Oh well, at least I'll be able to buy Metroid Prime 1 & 2 (I became a fan about a year or so ago, missed out on the first 2)

i can see how some of these games would benefit from being rereleased with wii controls... especially considering they're going to be at budget price and the wii has a way bigger market share than the gamecube ever did. out of that list i think i only ever bought the first metroid prime, so it works for me.

but not with wii controls. i can see a lot of gamecube games benefitting from wii controls to be honest. resident evil 4 sure did. the metroid prime games will too. i can see pikmin working out pretty nicely as well. it's a good way to quickly add some support to the library with games that the average wii owner might never have played before, and if it works out well there will likely be some sequels in line, so i don't see any problem here. they're basically just greatest hits versions tailored to a new controller.

The Wii's opened up to a new genertaion of fans, so now they can enjoy what they missed out on. But then again, the Wii can alrheady play the GCN games, so thier is nothing special about it except it haveing better graphics and it usses the Wii remotes.
I can see all of these games working out fine, but I wont get any at the moment other than Metroid Prime 1 & 2, and then maybe Mario Power Tennis (unless they make a Wii version)

If any of you buy this stuff you're sending Nintendo a bad message.

This..... for real, but it's not my ballpark anyway. I still don't have a Wii, and not a million people could convince me to buy one. I still have my gamecube though, and that is more than enough for me... that and the DS.

And last thing Nintendo needs is an unwarranted boost to an ego. It's going to take a while before they realize that this was a brilliant but lucky shot and that as the veil falls and the hooneymoon is over, more and more people are going to get frustrated with their purchase. I know I was early on, and people are starting to trade theirs in, and some old games with a new control scheme will not help them....unless it does, and they keep doing it to the dismay of people who want new things.

What you say is true about people getting an oppotunity for some good stuff, especially Pikmin which might genuinely benefit from the Wii controllers.

Actually, Pikmin would undoubtedly benefit from point and click controls.

Still, there will be no graphic improvement. The Wii is just barely more powerful than the Gamecube and both systems were capable of 480P.

    True. and they should...

The important thing here is that I didn't get around to Pikmin 2 and since what's really important is my personal happiness, I can be at least a little happy for its re-release.

    :D

It wouldn't surprise me. I was just hinting that Nintendo should make new stuff instead of remaking everything.
