TFP or not, That looks like one of the coolest TFs ive seen in awhile.

I will buy every single one I see, Just because I know how hard it will be to find.

And that G2 Deadend redeco of Wheeljack. FFFFFF. The colors, they burn!

 

The only downside to this toy is that its so damned short packed. One per case means its going to be a real pain to track down, scalper heaven.

 

I already have one on pre-order, but I might nab a couple more once they hit retail.

 

I'll just join the chorus saying this looks great. Looks like the first RiD figure that is actually a significant improvement over its FE version.

 

Why didn't they just repaint Wheeljack as Slicer and call it "Makeshift"?

 

Unlike the other figures the RID Vehicon is clearly better than the FE Vehicon.
It's one of the best figures I've seen in a long time, actually.

I think Bee and Hotshot could use some time off after this.

I think any toy-related threads to Prime will be at risk for that until Hasbro stops packing BB in every wave.

Re: those new pics, nice! I love Ultra Magnus. Cyberverse comes through again! Great alt mode for him, too... different from Optimus, and evoking elements of his G1, RID, and Animated versions all at the same time. Perfect!

Dead End looks nice as well, though I can't help but think he should really be named Quickstrike; that paintjob really makes Wheeljack's car mode look reptilian, like a snake's head (fangs and all, with the swords deployed).

 

Honest truth... Back when everyone was wondering if Vehicons were mindless drones or not (I thought they were, just because they were being killed left and right by Autobots - not merely "knocked down"), I thought there was going to be an episode where a drone became sentient and became Barricade. My dreams were dashed when we found out that the Vehicons had sparks and personalities (limited as they are)...

 

Blanket statement opinion much? Maybe some of us have personal preferences that differ from yours and actually enjoy the FE's aesthetics over the RiD's (from what I can tell, the FE has superior paint and plastic quality over the RiD's flatter matte and duller/flimsier looking plastic). Or that some of us like (and get) both equally but for different reasons, like giving some variation to the Con troops.
