it's a maybe. If he ends up much more solid without loose pieces like the voyager, this might be a buy.
My main gripe with Ironhide and Ratchet being deluxes, they just seem too small of scale to the others. The one thing that I DO like about this deluxe Ironhide, the fact you can see his head, and his hood stays down. That is one of two things that bothered me with Voyager Ironhide from movie 1. The second is his feet are a little odd and he doesn't like standing properly sometimes.
They're also making a new deluxe BB with his transforming hand cannon and melee battle axe. And of course Yellow Long Haul is from the game as well. Now they just need to make a new Sniper Sideways mold and my life will be complete. Also: This mold needs to be made in red. ASAP (seriously Hasbro, wtf?)
Easy no for me. Ratchet may have been a little out of scale but the robot mode was more movie accurate than the voyager. This looks much less movie accurate than the voyager,which I love a lot!
when the pic is small, his chest looks like animated blackouts face.............not really feeling him though,,,im happy with recon, but for some strange reason, as with ratchet ill prob. get him, since i have no will power to say no
Was never much for any of the Voyager molds, so this might actually work for me. As long as his head doesn't sit way back... Seriously though Hasbro, can we stop with all of the arms that only bend in towards the body. So many figures do that now and it's so annoying. You can never really get a good pose with that.
But have you seen Ironhide in red? Seen some in radicons and also the legends version. He looks gross. G1 was red, but that colour doesn't suit the movie version IMO. As for this deluxe mold, very nice actually! Will go awesomely well with deluxe Ratchet. Anyone seen how these guys measure up to Voyager ROTF Prime?
Wow, he has the ROTF game turret? I didn't know that! Anticipation just went up fivefold because of that little thing.
it is ebay so some early images of seom figures may become missing leaderstarscream and his extra few missles may be the smae situation wit hironhide here. ill wait to see what his package looks like mostly for video review or image review. it does look more movie accuate slightly but they could have at least painted the eyes in to show where they are i like the drone but if he actuall does come with another cannon ill get him if not pass
I love it! and With the new Voyager ROTF Prime coming out we'll have a scale d bot display, yah the vehicles wont match up too great but the bots where all around the same size in the movie regardless of vehicle size. Now the vehicle scale is right on with the voyager and deluxes but the bot's where off so this works for me!
When i first saw images of this toy about a month ago I was really interested, but these new shots leave me less than overjoyed. Like the deluxe Ratchet, some things are good others are all wrong. The arm set-up on this new Ironhide looks way too kibbly. I guess I think my Voyager '07 Ironhide and Ratchet are still the best versions of these toys.
So I can get a movie Ironhide that I'm not afraid to transform back to vehicle mode? I'll prolly get him.
2 reasons why this guy is SOOO bought on site: 1, he comes with a little turret like he dose in rotf the game! AWESOME! 2, he has REAL tall smokestacks. very nice.
