Nice try but not enough to warrant a second buy. (For me at least)  

 

I'm totally digging the Takara Transformers animated figures. They look great.

 

So says the so-called fan whom HasTak are right not to care about.

To me, I just like the look of the Animated Megatron (Cybertron Mode/Voyager) which to me looks good with the shiny silver (chrome) paint and Megatron is my favorite.

A little too much opinion-as-fact around here. No matter how many more paint-apps something has, or how shiny/metallic/chromed it is, or how show-accurate it is, or whatever the price is, there will always be someone who prefers "the other one" for reasons entirely their own, or maybe even no reason at all beyond "I like it."

These Transmetal TF:A's aren't working for me personally, but I'll be interested in a shiny silver Leader Megatron when and if they make one.

KInda Meh. I hoped they'd have more paint apps to make them more show-accurate, like the Replolabels stickers, not shiny paint. Shiney paint just... doesn't go for a 2D cartoon series toyline. This kind of paint would have worked wonders for Cybertron, though.

 

I'm digging that look on Prowl.

 

I'd really like it if they made more Legends toys based on other things - sure I'd like some more G1 mini-bot based characters such as Windcharger, Seaspray and Outback - but also I'd like Cybertron Sideways, & Overdrive and also Animated Lockdown, Grimlock, Megatron, Oilslick & Soundwave. not to mention a Pre-earth (Cybertron mold) Dirge & Thundercracker.

Now would be the ideal time to do something like that they could add them as regular releases in Japan and as twin packs or a Boxed set as a store exclusive in a America.

I've always though that Animated Legends toys would ideally complement a Supreme Animated Omega Supreme toy (with some display / Diorama/Playset functions in space ship mode)- but I suppose I'd have to give up on that idea ever happening now.

Hasbro vs Takara is basically the TF equivalent of Subs vs Dubs.

 

I would like a Prowl with his old school paint job of white & red, the rest are an easy pass for me.
