Those metallic paint jobs are fabulous!! 

 

Don't give two craps for the metallic paint, but damn if Takara's photo team isn't muuuch better than Hasbro's

 

looks like they changed the faction symbols to the old school ones.

the new paint jobs dont matter to me to buy again.

 

Can't... understand... why you... would do that... to Bulkhead...

only one that looks like shat is Bulkhead, you can still see the original green on him in both modes!

 

Maybe its just the pics, but Blackarachnia doesn't look noticeably different.

 

On some of the later figures, they are choosing where to put the metallic paint (ala Henkei) Lockdown and Blackarachnia just have shiny parts instead of the full on metallic paint job.

 

That OP pick actually makes that crappy axe look halfway decent.

 

Oh damn..I hope the real Bulkhead will not have such a selective sloppy paintjob. Then I might pass on him.

Otherwise, I think I will pick him up (yes yes, I know the color is weird, but I already own all of the cool original Hasbro ones, this will make a good Angry Archer van  ), Bumblebee, and maybe Prime and Lockdown out of the ones we currently have pictures of.

 

Boo to Bulkhead!!


Went to BBTS and pre-ordered Cliffjumper. A nice cheap way to get him if you couldn't find him....like me.

 

He's not bulkhead anymore, he's ironhide. Personally I didn't like the character, so I couldn't care less.

 

I must own that Cliffjumper, especially since I couldn't find it here.

 

Is it just me, or does Blitzwing look about five hundred times better than in the original release? Looks like he's a much better fit for the classics... can't wait until I see comparison pics.

 

I kinda like BH's new paint job.
And that CliffJumper (am i right?) looks nifty.

I bet it is just the Takara Photography Club or the metallic paint, but they do look a lot livelier.

if they do release the Leader figs, i will be biting my lip at how they can add to the Awesome of UM.

 

For the first time in my life I have to say: the Takara's line is awful. Hope I'm not being punished by Primus now.

 

Already pre-ordered Prime. Love the paint job and always liked his animated look but never found one with decent paint apps or quality control (I sure tried). Might get Activators Cliffjumper too as Activators Bumblebee is a favorite.

I doubt I'll get any others but I'm curious to see what they do with Leader Megatron. (Another design I liked but never bought.)

 

If starscream ooh! My iPod auto fills starscream! Is still blurple I really can't be bothered by a slight increase in gloss and sheen. The hasbro pics of bludgeon had the contrast and color amped In similar way. In hand Pics won't look as remarkable.

 

BBTS put up a ton of images too. The images include the versus 2 packs and a look at some ROTF Legends that are part of the EZ Collection wave that has the Animated figs in it. Here are the images from BBTS that are not part of this thread already. i think some of these pics may have been pulled from Hasbro's original images. It's hard to tell if these are photoshopped glossy or images of glossy toys taken my Tak/Tom.
