Frankly I'd rather take the hole torso to bits and swap the neck joint for a custom headmaster linkage.
Both look better than the default face. Again, automatically buying this as soon as it's in stock somewhere. I hope Dr. Wu continues doing these random upgrade parts for stuff.
Eh.... these do nothing for me. The visored face is OK, but together with the CC head it just makes him too derpish and long in the face (like someone took their hands and squished his head together from both sides). The problem is CC's head is just too small for his body to begin with. Making face plates for a too small head is just putting a bandaid on a much bigger issue with the figure itself. I'm hoping iGear does another head (or at least lowers the price on their CC add-on set) or someone like Headmasters can make a bigger, better head.
I have to say, everything Dr. Wu has produced so far looks incredibly amateur. I ordered the Rodimus faces out of sheer curiosity, but I'm not going near this set.
It doesn't fit with the Commander aesthetics. The iGear replacement was better, but the original still works best with the mold. Pass.
Looks significantly better than the first pics. The second face still looks a bit long, but I'm definitely getting a "God Magnus" vibe from it.
Well, the blue-aviator-shades visor one does tally with the original poster image of Magnus, at least. Please somebody make a give of those shades sliding down on to Magnus' face. DEAL WITH IT.
I like the blue visor one. However, they all seem to be "mushy" and asymetrical. Looks more like it was hand-sculpted than molded. Doesn't inspire confidence if they can't mold a single relatively flat piece properly.
The non-visor face would've been ALOT better if the eyes were blue...the yellow eyes just don't work. The visor face is complete garbage. Dr. Wu hit a home run with the Protector upgrade and then not so much with this one. The magnus upgrades look like "Sylvester Stallone as Ultra Magnus"...instead of "Adrian!!" it looks like he should be saying "Optimus!" in the same tone of voice.
lookin a little bug eyed and the tab at the tob of the face looks a little messy, i know you will never see that once it son the helmet but still if you are gonna pay 20 bucks for something (through a major retailer) i would expect better i think process nailed it when he said looks kinda amatuer
