Awesome thanks for the picture. Still going to pass on this just can not get over how bad this mold of Galvatron is.
The art makes him look completely totally batshit insane.
Galvatron gets a bad wrap. Undeservedly. He's one of the better deluxes. Who doesn't fall apart at all.
What?! Are we talking about the same toy here? Mine fell apart IN THE PACKAGING. Before I even got him out of the bubble. Various pieces then popped off constantly as I was very carefully transforming him the first time! I now completely have the hang of it, and parts STILL pop off frequently. I am always very gentle with him, but it doesn't matter.
I was actually going to get the Henkei, but once I played with the Hasbro one, I lost all desire to pay any more money for this crap mold.
Considering how many people have reported him falling apart I think it's a safe bet that he indeed does fall apart, lol.
The only time parts fall off mine are when I transform him wrong. His arm and his leg for example.
The look on Galvy's face screams "BWAAAAAAAAAAA!! ULTRAMAAAAAAAGNUS!!NYAAAAAAAH!!"
My Galvatron is VERY stable partswise.
I think that it differs from person to person or something.
But I DO love that art, I gotta say.
Thats why Ill buy this shitty mold..Ill hang it like 20.00 art on the wall 4 sure.
Hmm. he doesn't look quite as partcular as most of the other henkei releases.
actually, with the exception of the Vacuum metalized turret outer frame, he looks almost the same. I'll have to wait for some Robot mode Pics.
That art is amazing. Even though I have the universe one Im really tempted to get this too. The more Galvatrons the better.
lol i want this just for the box art. someone who buys this please make a really nice hi rez scan!
I might get this version of him
I think I read in his bio that he blinds his enemy with his arm of chrome, because if he fired his fusion cannon at them his arm would fall off from the recoil, lol.
The chrome is weird, but that part is easily switched out with a non chromed piece if you wish. I'm still wondering why they went with black plastic on the joints. Those'll stick out nearly as much as the orange on the U.S. version. Why not use the same color purple or grey as other parts of the figure? The joints would blend a lot better that way.
Yeah, the QC from toy to toy varies wildly. I bought a second Galvatron the other day to replace a couple of parts I messed up while attempting to mod his backpack area. The first one I got from BBTS is solid and holds together VERY well. The one I bought from Wal-mart last week is loose, floppy, and falls apart if you look at it funny. I used to think people were being overly sensitive about the QC on some of these figures, but if my first Galvy had been as funked up as the one I just bought for replacement parts, I'd've been pissed too. The fixed final version now on my shelf is practically perfect.
Haha, really? Wouldn't surprise me at all.
I love the artwork, but I won't bother buying a transformer just for the box art.
Well, admittedly one of the treads can come off if I put too much pressure on it.
But in general if I do it right I can avoid having parts fall out. Though his cannon pops off just as often when I TF him. Really, my biggest issue with the mold isn't his posability, but the fact that he can't stand very easily due to having no feet.
