Has anyone planned to make Generations Thunderwing a new nosecone? One that isn't so..."Playskool-looking"?

Or, is that how the character supposed to look?

the nosecone its a mini spaceship drone(it doesnot transform)
but i think you can replace its with a minicon
because the original thunderwing drone was transformable
    Thunderwing (1989) - Decepticon Aerial Espionage - www.tfu.info
and there are some minicons that looks good
Generations Thunderwing Video Review - Transformers News - TFW2005
this its the new thunderwing drone
    and for the minicon
    it can be:
    Sonar (2002) - Mini-Con - www.tfu.info
    or
    Ramjet (2004) - Mini-Con - www.tfu.info
    or
    Terradive (2003) - Mini-Con - www.tfu.info
anyhow it needs a new connection for the minicon to fit thunderwing┬┤s nosecone
    i hope this helps

This is correct (with the linkage back to our own resources :)

G1 Thunderwing is a Mega Pretender, simply meaning that THUNDERWING is actually the inner robot/jet pod that combines with the transformable Pretender shell (the shell transforming is the "mega" portion of the gimmick). Of course, the Marvel series popularized the character. :)

Hasbro initially had plans to make the drone a smaller, transformable robot as well, but had to scrap it due to budget reasons. Honestly, if some third part company doesn't cash in on that, I'll be surprised.
