There is a preorder for an Optimus Prime wall statue at BigBadToyStore.com similar to the Megatron wall statue reported by squirrelcar last month. I can't find a report of this so for those that want to take a look here is a link to Prime and the one for Megatron also. If this is old please move or close this thread.

    Huh?

He looks like he's pledging his unity to some totalitarian regime.

This was on display at the Diamond Booth at WWTX. It's really tiny, maybe 6-9" tall total. Not much to look at.

it bugs me when a statue looks crappier then the toys. I mean, common, you don't have to deal with moving joints, engineering of the toys, so there better be more details in the thing. especially with all the great and details toys that we've been getting lately, I can't imaging what is the appeal of this.

Speaking as someone who has purchased every Prime statue up to this point... this is the worst looking thing I have ever seen.

Looks like he's in the middle of some sweet disco moves, though.

Maybe we need to see it at a different angle.
Is he leaning up against a wall?

If you put this next to the Megatron statue would they look like they are charging each other?

Yeeeesh..who the heck picks these poses for statues? It seems like its a trend among collectible statues of any kind to have the most retarded poses ever. Is as if they expect the quality of materials and the expensive price to overshadow the lameness of the sculpt.

I mean, in a statue you can ignore articulation and play-durability, and you have free reign to make the character in the most artistic, dynamic expression imaginable... the skys the limit, yet so many pieces never make it off the launch pad.

The Art Asylum Soundwave coming out of the space bridge is pretty sweet though.

It may not be the best Prime statue, but self breast exams are important and I can respect that message.

Either that or reflux or angina! :lol

I didn't want Snow Globe Prime, so this makes another one. I think it would have been better if they had made the Ops/Megs wall hangings as bookends. Floating? Looked at another way, Prime looks like he's laying on the floor.

Also, about 160 USD for the set? Hmm, that's alot of Transformers.
