To all of you cool music nerds, Trent Reznor released yet another free album this one is called The Slip, http://theslip.nin.com/ Just got the download and it sounds pretty good, although I'll probably buy the vinyl version as well.

Got my link in less than a minute, but I did it very early in the AM on the east coast. Its damned good too.

The album is the shortest NIN album, with 10 tracks coming in at a total of 43:47 (a few minutes shorter than Pretty Hate Machine's 10 tracks at 48:50), but its extremely solid. Remember most of these were written, recorded and mixed in less than two months!

When I first heard of it this morning, I figured it would be an EP like Broken, which was 31:32 including the two "secret" tracks (which were covers). This is definitely not an EP.

Edit: Also, a correction to the original post. Only Ghosts I was available for free, the full album, Ghosts I-IV was available online for $5. This is the first truly free NIN album.

I'll wait, I'm guessing the server is very busy at the moment.

Got it now :D  Rather impressed with it, particularly the timeframe in which Reznor is writing and recording albums now, given the notoriously long periods between NIN albums of the past.
