I just don't see the purpose of these, why not deluxe figures for these characters? and Megatron, I've been waiting all these years for them to revisit this design, and it's a legends figure. FEH! If anything, this line is good for Minibots, and not much else.
I also don't normally complain about people not transforming these things right for photos, but man, looking at Hound's vehicle mode, if you can't transform a legends figure correctly then there's no hope for you.
jazz looks beautiful!!
the quality of the legends is getting pretty good
Deluxe Hound (w/ Ravage) will show up later. There was already a G2-esque tank Megatron in the first round of Classics toys, and Jazz ... well he gets a Deluxe toy in every other line, so Legends is the only Classics Jazz we get for a long time, if not ever.
Very nice indeed.
these really arent bad for legends. where actually getting a jazz thats very close to his actual form since his pretender version.
I never swallowed that pill. Aside of having a tank ALT mode, the aesthetic and transformation is entirely different. As for Jazz, he hasn't had as many G1 Homages as Hot Rod, and we still got a deluxe Rodimus in classics, so "why not?" I say. I forgot about the deluxe Hound though, although he's my least favorite character of the bunch here. Ravage I'll be interested in seeing though.
I wish they would make a deluxe version of Hound and Jazz. They are among my favorites in the G1 lineup.
Jazz looks awesome, but I'm not quite sold on Hound yet. I just hope this dosen't mean we won't be getting a deluxe Jazz in this line.
Yay ! Finally some love for the Hound-Fans !
...Legends figures don't take the place of Deluxe figures. They don't say to themselves, "want to do a Legends Megatron or a Deluxe Megatron?" - more like "we have to do three Legends figures, who shall we make them?"
Character selection is on only one part of the decision. Hasbro has lines like Legends to sell more product through non-traditional distribution channels such as drug and grocery stores. In esssence, this offers a lower price-point opportunity for the company to keep the Transformers brand fresh and in more places. Add to teh fact tha these figures can typically be repainted into a variety of viable characters makes them a big win for the company.
They look great... too bad they made them Legends Class.
They look nice, I dont usually go for legends but there are a few in universe that I might have to pick up.
hound looks pretty much IDENTICAL or the original animation model...i am so buying that...
and i just realized this.....we just got a classics cliffjumper and now we are getting classics hound and classics armada hotshot.....
...looks like hasbro is a fan of Grimlock_13
also....earlier i saw a pic of the g2 megatron legend on the front page...where did it go????
I don't usually go for Legends sized figs, but those look too nice to pass up.
I just tend to think of Legends as a Gobots like homage. They're smaller and simpler like Gobots were but they're simply scaled down versions of Transformers instead.
Nothing wrong with that if you ask me. Besides, the Universe line will likely stick around a bit this time around so there's plenty of time yet to get that deluxe version of Jazz.
With any luck, eventually they'll cover all of the major characters from the g1 cast. At this point, why not go for it seeing they've already done a pretty good number of them.
We already know they want to mix in others as well, but hopefully that won't mean the occasional g1 characters won't pop up from time to time once they do start focusing more on some of the other generations.
If you had read the post right above yours, you would know that a deluxe version of Hound is on the way.
Considering how low the price on these are, this is a super deal. Consider these bought on site.
