I get it now, this is some sort of crazy, whacky powered-up Ravage!! Or should I say SUPERMODE!!! Hasbro releasing Ravage as a corvette and now a Jaguar, that is so not like them.

Electronic HIGH FIVE!!! Maybe after the movie VW might not be such little babies and let them use the Beetle for Bumblebee! Hey if a fancy name Brand like Jaguar will them use thier product image than I think the silly hippies can let them do the same.

Oh and for those complaining about it being a cat, it could be worse for you. It could have turned into a cassette tape. I wonder what would be on Ravages tape; Airsupply, Slayer, Rush, RATT?

Actually Ravette was released as "Battle Ravage" I believe. This time around he's just Ravage.

And why is it not like Hasbro to release them? Ravette was based on the humanoid Ravage. This time around he's based on the beast Ravage. How is it different from having a tape cassette transform into a panther than a car? Both are equally absurd in my mind but I certainly don't mind it.

Archer said @ BotCon that the Alternators were NOT ending - just going on a hiatus while the push of movie toys takes over. They (Hasbro) anticipate that after the movie is released, they'll be able to obtain many more licensing deals, subsequently meaning they'll continue with the Alt line with new models instead of more repaints.

I just hope the wait is worth it and that they got some actual important characters tentatively lined up to *finally* get a proper Alt re-model release (Trailbreaker, Ratchet, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, etc). Even if they make BB a camero like the movie - I don't really care. Just as long as he retains his G1 head like the other re-modeled Autobot Alt characters have.

Maybe a mixed tape....Cat scratch fever, Black cat, Welcome to the jungle, That jingle bell song with the cats meowing, Trapped in a box.....something like that maybe.

I wonder if they got the rights to do other GM cars from the movie deal to use on lines like Alternators. They could crank some out right after the movie.

Ah yes, but Jaguar is owned by Ford, who have already let HasTak use their Mustang, so the Jaguar wasnt too far of a stretch. VW on the other hand are so anti-war, anything remotely close to being associated with any kind of war is a big no-no in their books and dont want anything to do with it. It is somewhat understandable considering VWs relation to Hitler and WW2.

Yeah it seems like its a pic of the toy and not artwork judging by the fact that you can see the "screw" for his paw articulation in the pic.

May it be so. I can't wait to get another hit of my sweet, sweet Alternator-crack. Classics and reissues have only staved off the shakes - I'm still jonesing for the good stuff. (Although I'm developing a surprising love of the Titaniums in the interim.)

And here's hoping for an immediate Steeljaw / Rewind repaint of the two when the line starts up again. And while I'm dreaming, a Soundwave/Blaster car carrier.

I'm glad I pre-ordered these. Since alts are on clearance at Target I doubt I'd be able to get them at work this time around.

I think that Alt. mode amy be the sweetest of all. That's a very snazzy car. Dog mode...not such a huge fan. I'd rather have antoher humanoid bot.

In the BinalTech story, they said that Battle Ravage (the Corvette based one) had kept the real ravage in his Tape Deck. So maybe the real Ravage got out and they gave him a car mode.
