I got an email from iGear this morning:

I wonder who they will be making. PP Scale includes the CHUG sized MP Faith Leaders and full-size MP seekers, so whoever these figs are going to be, they should be decently sized.

CHUG still needs Brawn, Trailbreaker, Huffer, and Windcharger figs from the Ark crew, since it looks like the Kup repaint is likely to be Gears. A Blitzwing triple changer fig would be rad, too.

 

So are these going to be unscaled G1 figures, or entirely new ones?

 

WHEELJACK PLEASE iGEAR! If they do, I will never say anything bad about them again! Just fix the arms please?

Don't get your hopes up for something entirely new or original. The PP line has mostly been copied with some modifications.

Most likely they are talking about the scaled MP Megatron that was been discussed before. Would they be interested in scaling MP Grimlock or MP Rodimus? Probably.

If they go outside the MP line for copying... hard to say where they would look. Classics? Original G1 figures?

 

Wha...? Faith leaders are not CHUG-sized, they are to scale with MP Starscream and Grimlock.

 

That's because "PP" stands for "Purposely Plagiarized". Maybe they are going to "upscale" some CHUG figs.

 

They want to mean that will make the UM trailer/armor imho  

 

You know.... I would totally pay a premium for a figure of Windcharger upscaled to deluxe size (and tweaked appropriately if need be, for better articulation or whatever). Ooh, maybe with clear plastic windows and headlights.

 

They could re purpose a Yamato Valkyrie for Jetfire, I'm sure that'd make them lots of easy money.

Call me narrow-minded, but I just cannot see anyone making convincing Ultra Magnus armor. The Masterpiece Prime mold is just so damn blocky as is, and putting more stuff on it can't help.

Anyway I can't judge now sincerely: I think that a well projected armor could work very easly on the mini mp mold of OP   But it's to be a good designed work... Igear staff has to demostrate that they can make completely original works and I'm waiting for this...

 

^This. However, their Arcee turned out very nice. I don't know if they designed that though.

They said that Arcee isn't theirs... but who will know ever ?   Anyway that delicate warrior is the best Arcee out ther imho, so we only know that someone in Igear's partners universe can make such good things eheh

Cool. Cant wait. I got the email too but read only the first sentence and deleted it.

 

If igear bring something new to the table I'll take a look. If it's just more scaled up/down stuff with a few alterations I won't bother with it at all.
