And I went out and bought it.

    80gb 2nd Generation Zune.

I've been a supporter of Creative's "Zen" series, but for the price, and capacity, Microsoft won out this time.

I LOVE this thing. And the Zune Marketplace is pretty sweet, considering it's tied to my X-Box live account, and can use the Microsoft Points from the X-Box Live Marketplace.

    Any other Zune'ers here?

I've had my 30GB Zune since May and I love it. I actually won mine out of a Stacker machine when I went to get my Spider-man 3 ticket. Microsoft built a tough little machine, mine's been through hell with my clumsy fingers. Only complaint I've had with it is that no headphones I've tried with it get the volume levels that the original earbuds had.

I was big on the Zen also, I have owned 2 of them. I was considering the Zune for it’s 360 connectivity but then I was given an iPod Classic.

I'd like to get a Zune, but I might wait until a price drop, as long as it may take. If the old 30 gigs went down to 125-150, maybe i'd think about it.

The Zune redesign is really marvelous IMO, Microsoft fixed a -lot- of problems I had with the original hardware.

Haven't actually used one outside of a brief demo, but I have heard good things. :D

I'm still miffed at Creative for fucking up the new Zen's SD card support, unless they did a firmware fix I'm unaware of. (speaking about the newer 4/8/16GB one that looks like a thick black credit card) Basically any content on the SD card had to be accessed clunkily via a completely alternate menu system that was rather unfriendly.

I do plan on getting a Zune as my next Mp3 player eventually. This thing looks great and I'm not a fan of the Ipod .

It's a touchpad/button. Moving your finger along it moves the screens and such in the direction your finger goes. Or you can just click down to move down, up to move up, etc.

    high five! very nice! [/borat]

I have an 8 gig Nano that has about 800 MBs of free space left. I don't know what to do with it. 80 gigs is scary :D  I'd never fill it.

Thanks to the Zune marketplace, I've started to become addicted to podcasts.

I love the Ninja Warrior clips that are available in the Podcast section. Comedy Central has some good stuff as well.
