Watching it at work on an old computer running on Windows BC. Even though I can't get sound, I can still see the pictures in a stuttering sort of way.

Looks very well done. Solid trailer to pique interest, and it doesn't feel like a toy commercial. However, as impressive as the robot designs are in motion, they still don't feel like Transformers to me, and I still don't get any sense of personality. That can be hard to do in a teaser trailer like this, and the designs may grow on me like the BB Batmobile, but at the very least, the trailer holds my interest and doesn't send me away crying.

At least not until I hear it with sound.

 

It was slowed down, and slightly masked by *Wolverine's claws FX*, but it was definitely there.

1) There are no 20 foot tall giant robots. Of course they look fake. They are fake and there is no reason your eye should register them as anything completely real.

2) They look less fake than any other type of FX technology we've ever had. Men in rubber suits or stop motion would have looked worse.

Yeah, I noticed that too, It definatly looks like a robot under a hologram to to me. I tried to get a screen capture but couldn't get it, prhaps of some one else could?

 

what little you could make out of bone crusher looks awsome when he is attacking the bus. At least i hope thats him.

lol this movie is gonna ROCK!!!!! yea!

 

I just can't understand all of the freaking movie-bashing and complaining that's going on around here by some of the posters.

I thought the trailer was freaking awesome and I hope the movie lives up to the hype and is as good as the trailer looks.

I also don't understand all of the complaining about how the characters look in this movie. (Optimus, Bumblebee etc.)

If they would've made the CGI characters look like the 80's cartoon that would've just been plain silly. It would've looked like cartoon characters running around in a real life world ala "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

I like Optimus looking more edgy and realistic. I like that this film is going to be realistic and dark and edgy.

The movie is going to play to a more mainstream, adult audience as well as hardcore G1 Transformers fans like you and me.

Looks pretty wild! I still feel like this is good enough to see, not good enough to shell out for on opening night, but I'm psyched. Looks mighty neat!

I wasn't impressed. It looked like a by-the-numbers Michael Bay movie, which I don't care for. I'm not getting into the whole G1/new designs argument. Judgsing the trailer purely as a trailer for a movie, I can't say I'd want to see that movie if not for the Transformers name.

 

Well I am guessing there is no narration cos well it doesn’t look like there enough plot to fill a 5 minute trailer, kinda what you get from a bay film, not actually a bash cos well that’s what you want from a summer popcorn flick/toy add. I think it will do well, might even spawn a few sequels that will suck cos it’s a simple divide the amount of plot in the first by the number of the sequel to get its amount of plot but we’ll get a lot of explosions and hopefully a few good toys along the way so I'm happy.

 

In a word. YAWN!!!

 

I totally agree.

There are just some people that can't be pleased and can't wait to piss and moan at the first drop of a glimpse of this movie. Why get so worked up over it?

 

It's his protoform, so you should probably expect car parts added everywhere for the robot mode he subsequently has during the movie.
