I just caught the trailer and when the blue lights are shown, the Decepticon virus signal Blackout used is obviously played. :lol

Lol man. The graphics in this look odd to cheesy. Notice that blue fireball doesn't reflect off the building it goes by. they try to cover it with glare.

It's a cool idea. especially nodding at what Stephen hawking said about aliens.

Got me interested...but it is kinda obvious that the Transformers universe had influence on this movie. If anyone was wondering how Unicron could be done without looking cheesy (*see Fantastic Four: blah blah silver surfer blah blah, lol), this sure is a good proof of concept for the idea.

When I click "trailer" on the official site, nothing appears. I looked up the trailer on Youtube but sound quality was shit.

Edit: found it on another site. Sound quality was good and I did here the noise. Cool!
BTW, the blue lights remind me of the bombs that Wraiths launch in Halo.

How exactly can you prove they ripped it off? If you're older than 12, you should be well aware that movie sound effects are used over and over and over again. Licensed and re-licensed to anyone who wants to buy, rather than create, their own sounds.

This goes for everything from gun shot sounds to screams to static sound effects. The real story is that the directors most likely paid the royalty and license fees to paramount, which are usually pretty inexpensive.

    Common sense people...Common sense...

That's the first thing that came to mind when I first saw this trailer. The screeching sound effect was a carbon copy of the one utilized in TF1.
