Eh, I'm not sure that would work. Why would Megatron ditch his highly maneuverable aircraft mode for a stationary artillery piece?

That said, I'd still like to see your rendition of a movie bot that transforms into that.

You probably want to look at something like Krupp K5 railway gun used by the Nazis in WWII:

While a better size for Megatron, it would unfortunately confine him to Earth's rail network, not to mention making him antiquated technology.

 

WAY too small, and I agree with Sso02V that the jet is way more maneuverable

Megaotron should retain an alt mode with flight capanilities, and it could work relally well if he tuned into something that had a big gun, like a scud, a tank or some massive armored vehicle, so he should be a triple changer.

Actually, I was talking about his alt-mode. I personally would like to see him come back, especially if the leaked treatment is real, as that would be awesome to see in the movie theatre  .

Two words:

Triple changer. Megs has done it before, and the movie needs one anyway. With all the crazy guns and shit popping out of all the movie characters already, it's a natural plot extension.

F-22 Raptor. According to Ghosts of Yesterday, Starscream's alternate mode resembles Megatron.

 

I thought it was the Ghost 1 probe that looked like Megatron? Seeing as it was reverse engineered from him.
