I don't like it. I'd rather get that new retooled/sligthly redecoed Takara First Edition we saw a few days ago.

    Not liking it.

The blue on the head and legs looks great. The feet are much better than the First Edition. The First Edition, however, is an altogether much better looking figure.

I think the prices of the F.E. figures are going to skyrocket.

Looks like that's the Prime that we saw the silhouette of in those Takara previews.

Surprised that this transforms though. Wasn't expecting that. Thought for sure that the Powerizer line would be non-transforming figures.

EDIT: Also, yech, I hope that future figures will interpret that gimmick better. This looks like it could ruin the Prime voyager class figures.

Vvvvvvery innnnteresting. Having the electronics in the gun should hamper the figures less but the early release gimmicky figures are often underdone.

And is there a place to attach this gimmick to the DoTM voyager OP's alt mode what with its random clear parts?

I dig it! Love the "real show transformation" instead of cheating!

Hot Shot, Evac and Mirage? Interesting. Toy only, or new additions to the cast?

Yeah I'm wondering the same thing with those three names. That would be awesome if they're in Prime :)

Yes. Sounds like Movie holdovers being incorporated into the line?

This is a disaster. I far prefer the FE version over this, and it is looking increasingly unlikely that the FEs will be making it to retail over here in the UK.

If that Voyager Optimus is any indication, let's hope they find a way to fit the First Editions into the line again later for the sake of all the show-accuracy nuts out there: You can't even find Wave 1 on shelves here any more, and Wave 2 and the Voyagers are still nowhere to be found outside of Canada and Japan.

I'm assuming that Arcee isn't a straight repack of the FE version, but i'm also presuming it's not a new mold.

So different deco? More pink this time?

This mold looks better than the first one, but there's too much gray in the chest area. I wish they would put more red paint on the chest.

I'm not entirely sure what I think about this figure yet. I like the look of the weapons, but I'm not a big fan of the clear forearms. I'll wait to see some non-photoshopped pictures before forming a full opinion just yet. Some of the gray plastic on the FE figure ended up disappointingly lighter than I had hoped. This one could end-up having the same issue.

Edit: Here's my attempt at fixing the alt-mode picture...looks like his chest might actually be made-up of the windshield pieces this time...

I like what they did with Prime's chest windows but everything else is just strange. Not sure what's the deal with the translucent blue plastic on the forearms, for example. The gun and sword, while nice, are not accurate at all to the show. I thought these new re-molded figures were supposed to be even more accurate to the transformations and character models than the FE figures? And I tend to dislike electronics in general outside of a few select Leader class toys.

No Autobot (or Decepticon) insignia for Optimus, huh?

He has a lot exposed parts...and weapons. I don't know if I like this Optimus that much.

Is his sword and blaster one and the same, they both look as though they are part of something if not each other.
