There are reports that Trypticon's leg is easily broken or something is wrong with them. You guys have anything wrong with yours?

There was one report about the spring inside his leg being too strong and grinding a teal-plastic gear. But that was the only one. After that everyone started trimming the spring as a precaution. The other issue was his chest door not staying closed. So far, mine only has the latter problem. It's fine if Full-Tilt isn't attached to the chest and is easily fixed.

The legs on mine are fine so far, but I'm being cautious.

Anyone interested in Transformers Hats (actual head wear)? I have two fitted Decepticon hats and two Autobot snapback hats. I am thinking of letting them go for $10 each or $30 for all 4.

My Trypticon has ridiculously tight hip joints but they don't feel like they will explode anytime soon. However, that means he can stand wicked solidly. The warped chest plate isn't too bad on my copy either; I found I was able to push it in until I heard a nice pop as it popped into place. I might leave it like that so the plastic reworks itself back into shape. (Full-Tilt is pretty garbage though but a decent pack in)

Won't the reprolabels be for parts the stickers don't already cover? I only used the decepticon logos and the orange accents, I think the rest of the stickers just make everything look cheap.

One hip was way too tight and I was worried it was going to shear something off, so I trimmed the spring. On reassembling the mechanism, I noticed the 2 teal parts wouldn't stay flush and popped apart. It was because the screw went all the way through. I used a bigger screw and that one went all the way through the plastic, too. I had to use one that was too big for the entire hole and even then I probably could have screwed it all the way through if I felt like it. The teal plastic there is the same rubbery plastic for the vehicle nose gun and claws, it's soft and seems likely to break under stress. Fortunately the hips are housed in the body so they won't get torqued. I'd say, don't ever rotate the legs unless the hips are in position.

Also, the chest window on mine holds in on a prayer, too. I'll just put some glue around the housing for friction if it comes to that. Still really happy with this toy and bought some add-ons, even though he's probably going to be at discount stores later.

I tried them on once but never wore them. They were mainly used for decoration in my Transformer room. I will upload pictures later

I just read a post that said to cut Trypticon's hip springs in half and then do a bunch of other little mods to fix him. That's stupid, I just cut off about 1/6 of the spring and put him back together. The ratchet is weak, but he stands on his own. Cut a little bit at a time if you're going to do it!

Ugh, took apart the tail, the ratchet is damaging the crosspiece and going to break in the long run.

hmm, he's big enough you might be able to find hardware parts to make replacement joints that are sturdy... or you could roll with the "Zombie trypticon" idea and just make his "falling apart" nature a feature with minor modding and UV responsive purple.

Good to hear about Trypticon. Will probably get mine later on. I waited for Fort Max and got him cheaper.
