cool ORIO. What is Galvatron like?

 

Not the only one, just the only one out that day...

Stock, he's ok, the cannon gets in the way of most poses, and the crest is annoyingly like g1 ironhide's window, sitting far enough away from the head to look like it's at all a part of it, and more like a targeting reticule.

Modified some, he becomes Fantastic for a voyager galvatron, MAYBE the third party MP galvatron designs would exceed him, but that's a big maybe for the price difference, if you glue the crest to the headmaster face he looks better, (but loses the ability to pilot his jet cockpit) and if you make the cannon attach to the forearm, somehow (various approaches to make a 5mm port work I'm sure.) he becomes far more expressive with the cannon, even it it kinda floats away from his arm a bit.

still, until a third party upgrade, he's the best galvatron we've gotten, and if you really hate the jet cockpit, it adds NOTHING to the robot or cannon modes, so it'd be easy to lop off and have a classics headmaster Galvatron without a "third mode" (either my fanmode or the official jet mode)


until I found this fanmode I was actually going to lop off the cockpit myself, it gets in the way of the waist swivel just a little tiny bit, mainly by being something you'd be holding as you try to push the waist, thus making you push yourself unless you grab it right.

 

Looks like a great upgrade compared to his G1 version. Hopefully I'll be able to get one before the scalpers take them all.

the cockpit can still attach for the third modes though, and carry the cannon, so you really have no reason to keep it on if you are dissatisfied by him having GIANT COCKPIT KIBBLE.

 

I'm the proud owner of a Galvatron as well. Found him and Sentinel Prime at Toys R Us East. I skipped out on Sentinel for now. Man, the whole flip up head crest thing bugs me. It sits too forward and limits the head movement. I also wish the cannon could attach on the side of his arm instead of the top, but that doesn't bug me as much.

 

Anyone do a side-by-side G1 comparison of these figures yet? I own very few G1 headmasters, so can't make the comparisons.

 

if anyone has a spare galvatronus head, I'm interested, but I don't want the cyclonus that it comes attached to.

just asking in case there is a chance at a junker galvatronus head I can take to finish off Titan Wars Galvy a bit better than this nucleon with the headguard look I have.

 

I got Titan Returns Fort Max yesterday. He is the same size as Metroplex just bulkier. Also his transformations are a bit more simplistic compared to Metroplex's. I would throw up picks up I haven't figured out how to get them on here yet lol.

I saw these transformers knock offs at Family Dollar. They are under the name defencer robots I think. They had Optimus, Arcee, Starscream, and another I can't remember. I think they are from the Prime toyline. They have some interesting colors, like a florescent green Arcee. Check them out.

 

Swung by lobl today, saw they had a good few TFs still, was tempted to pickup the classics (or was it henkei?) hound at the $15 price, but I chose a starship instead, still might be worth knowing of if you're interested.

(Also, if you do go by, I need BAF ultron's left leg and arm, so, if they have them and aren't too damaged I'd be willing to work out a time to meet you and trade/buy the limbs off you.)
