so true... the series peaked at Megaman 2. I dont even know where to begin with the Megaman of today....

 

I just want a good conclusion of Megaman X.

I want Mega Man 9. Is it so freaking hard to just make Mega Man 9?

Good point. It would be a perfect tie-in with X, like how Zero was created by a person who shall not be said and destroyed everything, then went to sleep and woke up in the year 21XX.

I'll buy the argument that 7 is awesome, but 8 was pure crap. Stupid freaking snowboards...

And as far as I'm concerned, Mega Man 3 was the best in the series.

 

It was implied in X4. It was proven in Rockman: The Power Battles (or Power Fighters. I forget which was the second arcade game). Bass' ending shows Wily with a silloette of Zero.

So this is one part battle network one part ZX eh? Sure I'll bite. I am a total Megaman addict. Just give me a blue guy with a gun and I'm happy.

 

Hope it's cool, I'll totally be keeping an eye on it since it's MegaMan and I'm still a huge MM fan. Although the new cat head looking buster, while cool looking, still hasn't quite settled with me, I'll give it time.

The Battle Network series isn't my favorite one though so I'm still looking forward to MegaMan ZX more. A blue guy with a gun rocks, but I like a red one with a sword (and gun) better.

And you know what's so sad? X6 really did provide a good conclusion to the story. I mean, X1-X6 all build on each other, the same continuity, the same story, then X7 takes a turd on it, and X8 recovers but still has nothing to do with the series as a whole. That original storyline is then picked up by MMZ and carried through Z4. As far as I can tell, ZX follows MMZ. I vote that we excise X7, X8 and CM from the MMX timeline, all in favor, please show by the raise of the right hand.

 

Agreed, instead make a game that focusses on the events that forced Zero to go into that hypersleep (or whatever it was, only played MMZ1 and 2). They could even make it a dual Megaman game, switching between the different timeframes and Megamans to show how it's all connected.

havent play from x7- X8-nor comand mission. but your idea intrigues me I want X on the elf wars!

 

Have you played MegaMan and Bass? I know it's not MM9, but it was after MM8 and the last regular (as in not a X/Legend/BT) MegaMan game.
