i foudn if the voayger soundwave is Movie soudnwave or an G1/whatever continuty RTS Soundwave, and if the elader megs is Movie Megs or an RTS G1/whatever Continuty Megs

Same with the arcee SHown is that Movie arcee or rts G1 Arcee (WHICH I HOPE IS CAUSE I WANT AN G1 ARCEE)

The logical, rational part of my brain surmises that the Soundwave listing is more than likely the Prime incarnation, given the nature of the other figures listed. The child-like loony part, on the other hand, is busy screaming "TAPE DECK! TAAAAAAPEEE DEEEEECCCK!" in a rather demented fashion...  

Oh, and Alpha Trion - for the love of whatever, please be an original mold that actually gives some reflection of the character and sets things up nicely for a release of all of the Thirteen, and not a bloody awful Jetfire repaint. Ta.

Just my POV, but I wouldn't get any hopes up for a brand new Leader Class mold without a current media tie-in.

Maybe TF-P is going to really make use of Trion, but the smart money is on repaint, or at best a retool, IMO.

 

Could these really be Prime toys, though, considering they're not slated for release until next October? Granted, it makes sense, given most of the new listings are for TF Prime characters...
I'm very interested in Apelinq, as well as Alpha Trion (I really hope it's G1-esque, as Botcon A3 is nearly impossible to find and ridiculously expensive). And if that Voyager Soundwave is TFP Soundwave, it will be EPIC.

While for arcee IM NOT SURE cause Arcee Was Only Available on 2 Pack set on this Line so maybe this is an new fig

Re: TF rime toys - couldn't some be a "sneak preview" line for Prime's toyline, just to get a few characters out on shelves?

 

I honestly couldn't see ROTF Jetfire working as a Alpha-Trion repaint. I don't know why people keep saying that.

That crossed my mind as well, as we've heard rumors of the Fire truck being

Optimus Prime's "father". Perhaps meaning he built/rebuilt him, like in G1.

That's not too bad of a theory. Put a couple in the Generations line, give people a taste.

 

I think they're RTS figures. We've had no leader listings other than Prime and Starscream.

Bulkhead would fit in as a CUG figure like Lugnut.

 

Sounds like some good figures coming up! Bring 'em on!

 

I'm not too concerned really about Alpha Trion being a retool of ROTF Jetfire because I think Hasbro's new strategy is long term thinking, hence the talk of the 300-page encyclopedic history of Transformers from Exodus, WFC and to Prime that creators used in all three media, and also in how they're handling new molds for Generations line toys and planning ahead for reusing the mold with a new character and new head.

That being said, I think Leader-class would be the most difficult to re-use without just making it a straight repaint, and in Jetfire's case extremely difficult. Besides, with a new head and paint scheme (and who knows what else), I bet they can make a pretty decent Alpha Trion with Jetfire.

Isn't interesting to have faith and hope in Hasbro nowadays instead of utter disdain and disappointment in what they do? Fuck yeah, money.

 

I reckon TF3 toys. If this is even true and I fully doubt it. C'mon, Apelinq? Really?

And I really don't want prime toys yet. I'm not sold on the show enough yet for me to want toys on the market.

 

Actually, the more I think about it, Jetfire kinda WAS Alpha Trion. Ancient, has facial hair, sacrifices himself to empower others...

Paint him red and white with the underside of his kibble purple to mimic his cape, then do the whiskers in white, then change the voice chip to say, "something something vector sigma" and you're done!

Kinda surprised nobody's radiconned that yet actually.

 

I don't recall seeing any alphas radiconned latley, mostly shoulder-pad menasors, devastators, and bumblebees... with some other cool ones worked in from time to time.

 

That Jetfire mold needs to be retired. leave it a one trick pony. New Mold for Alpha trion! Please!

 

I hope Alpha Trion isn't a redeco of Jetfire, I hate that mold.

 

So my guess is Prime toys, or maybe they're early movie things mixed in? Bulkhead a quick repaint of Seaspray, or does that not make sense. I hope they're Prime toys.
