Linkin Park put out their new single earlier this week and although I don't know how many people here are fans, or fall into the "they all sound the same" category, but I've enjoyed most of their work.

I really like the video for the new single ( YouTube ) and I look forward to hearing more of the album.

 

i thought the 1st album was really good tho. brought me back to listening metal after years of pop rock, y'know, the late 90s with no doubt, sugar ray, et al. bleh.

 

Linkin Park is pretty good.

I'll give it a listen.

 

love Linkin Park...got all their albums...made my own CD with Hybrid Theory and Meteora (yeah, each album is like 40 minutes) that i (and bunch of my co-workers) listen to at work.

 

i'm not a fan and they all sound the same....

The new single is better than I expected. I had low expectations, after the band told their fans to keep an open mind for their new album. Anyone know what the release date is for this new album?

 

When Hybrid Theory came out I was really impressed. I am really glad I got to see them before they really blew up at a small show in Tucson. Then the radio just overplayed every single to death, so that when Meteora came out I didn't buy it. Last year my friend let me copy it and it was pretty good. I reallty like "From the Inside."

The release date for "Minutes To Midnight" is May 15, 2007 for North America. May 14 everywhere else. It'll be produced by Rick Rubin and co-produced by Shinoda himself.

I heard this single two days ago and I'm really diggin this new style. Personally, it feels like the band has evolved from the ol' nu-metal days. I've been a fan of LP since Hybrid Theory (and got a copy of Hybrid Theory EP from joining LPU year one) so I'm really excited about this album. Apparently Mike won't be doing much rapping on this album.

 

It makes me remember that I've been meaning to buy a pair of aviators for the past year or so.

Whats with all the German honors? Is Hasslehoff managing Linkin Park now or something?

 

I've liked LP since their first album but I just can't get into this song. When the new album comes out I'll still have to check it out to make up my mind.
