Is it even legal for the guy to sell shirts? I mean,can some dude just draw Optimus Prime on something and sell it? I guess it counts as parody,but in the case of the poster,there isn't a joke,it's just Transformers drawn cuter than normal. How's that a parody?

Llamatron should be the new Lil' Formers artist,since his comic was actually funny. And it was illustrated better.

 

well i always see people on ebay sell shirts with prints of dreamwave works all over them.. when i actually contacted one guy and asked him the legality of it all he became very defensive.. anyways its not exactly like selling fake Phish merchandise out of you van in "lot"

 

There is more to Fair Use laws than just parody. And there's significant difference between using Dreamwave art, the rights to which are owned by Hasbro (IIRC), and art he made himself.

I just don't like it because he ruins potentially good punchlines with straw man arguments.

The ever infamous Prime strip COULD have had potential to be funny as the various Primes cover flaws in their respective stories... but in the end, it simply becomes movie hate and "animated's animation sure does suck" rather than mocking of the CHARACTER.

I mean Primal's big joke was that he wasn't "Prime". Could have easily been a joke about how Optimal Optimus never got to do anything cool after its first apperance, or how his crew didn't listen to him at first, or even just "Beast Machines? Never happened."

Eh. Whatever. I personally don't find Lilformers very funny, but cut and paste web comics rarely do it for me.

The last episode of Animated I watched was the first one. I didn't like it.
I have no idea who David Willis is,either.
How does that make me or any other non-fan of the strip automatically a troll? It's just not a very funny comic strip. It's not even really unfunny enough to be notable,since the internet is practically drowning in poorly drawn webcomics and lame jokes about 80's pop culture as it is,without one more piling on.
