oh cool the hard wood ones new
Rest of the pix.
Would've been nice to get some like..size comparison pics though..>_>
Anyways, damn he looks nice.
Soooo nice. I love the expressions and details. The hammer looks great despite the length of the handle. Vehicle mode and robot mode look so clean and perfect it's amazing they're both the same thing. I love how all the extra weapons fold away for a nice, clean, show-accurate 'bot mode.
i'll be so happy when i get this, like i've said before, this ultra magnus looks like he CAN deal with anything now
Minor gripes like the almost black eyes and short hammer handle aside, a nice figure overall.
Still, I'll check out reviews first before I decide whether to pick it up or not.
I am so glad to see that he doesn't have the same big, tacky looking translucent faction symbol that imo spoils the other leaders.
I was a little dissapointed with how leader megs looked in that regard but Ultra Magnus here is fantastic. Nice clean deco and paint application all around without too many toy features (buttons, the aforementioned clear plastic bits etc) spoiling the look. Very accompished.
I hope that his weapons and how well they're integrated will bode well for an certain finale characters toy.
Wow...He looks FANTASTIC!!! Mine will be here next week, I cant wait.
Well, after seeing the first pics... well, actually after finding out there was a leader Magnus, I knew I'd buy it. But the more I see of it the more I know I won't be disappointed. Very solid looking figure.
What's the going rate for these at the mo?
I'm very tempted.
Seems a bit simplistic for a leader class toy, doesn't it? If we didn't know better, this could easily pass for a voyager; maybe even a deluxe.
I'd like to see a bit more complexity/engineering/moving parts in a toy this size class and price range.
This guy looks great. Going to have to get one when I see it at retail. Definently like the way the colored the faction symbol properly... frankly I think the colorless faction symbols really look tacky on the figures.
to my mind hes probably the most complex animated toy so far produced, i think any apparent simplicity is deceptive and that its part of the genius of the toys design. thats one amazing creation, if it wasnt for the shoulder 'kibble' youd be hard pressed to guess his alternate mode.
Sweet mother of........
Maybe... but since his alt mode is a nondescript rectangular box, it's not like there's a ton of realistic alt mode kibble to hide.
When I can look at a figure and instantly see how the transformation works, and that it appears to involve the movement of only a dozen chunky pieces, it's a bit disappointing. I was hoping this would be the toy that changed my perception of TFA, but that won't be the case.
Ultra Magnus looks so cool!!!
