It's hard to tell from online pictures, but after finally seeing the 20th Anniversary version of Prime the other day @ TRU, I had no idea how cartoony it actually looked compared to Takara's MP version (the one that I own). It might have diecast and all that, but it looks VERY plastic intensive since the reds & blues are so much brighter than Takara's version. And in that regard, I think it looks incredibley cheap compared to the Takara version. I'm not saying it sucks compared to Takara's version, but the color & mold differences are really much more noticeable than I previously thought.

Well, it looks like the international 20th Prime isn't the "DVD Edition." I guess our overseas friends don't get the 20th anniversarry DVD that the US Prime has.

. . . oh wait a minute, the US version didn't have a DVD either :lol

Most likely what this means is Sony isn't going to the bother of releasing the new DVD in many markets outside of North America.

That's because Sony BMG only have the distribution rights for North America.

I agree! It looked more plastic compared to Takara's version. The overall paint job was not so shiny and the silver colour parts on the Takara's version become white. The shoulder chimneys were short (same as previous Hasbro release) and moulded with greyish silver plastic. But when I looked at the picture at the back of the box, the chimneys... There were also obvious paint patches on Prime's chest and it may be the reason why it was one of the two pieces left on the shelves. I wish Hasbro really looks into their QC problem. Similar paint job problem was also spotted from the Classics toy line.

Good news - I didn’t think Breakdown & Ransack GTS would make it out over here. That's good.

Bad news - There was demand for a 20th Prime rerelease in the US because the original hadn't just been released over there. This is not true here. *Bangs head against desk*

Hmmmm, I am wondering if the big malls around here in Peru will pick up this OP. Since osme of them brought Alternators, it could be a nice oportnity to get it, but I don't really like those colors.
