Didn't we already know this? Plus it references something that was removed from here, and I imagine there was a good reason for that happening.

Looks like someone was left alone with the leaked press-sheet for too long, and went crazy drawing conclusions.

I think this is old news, but okay. Drift is new, but he might just be in the Generations line instead. Last time I checked, that red prototpye looked a LOT like him. I bet all the WFC toys fit in with Generations, but are counted as a subline of deluxes.

We've even seen a red prototype that could easily be Drift. Still strange they would try to shoehorn him into THIS line however.

So an article that is naming TFW2005 as a source is somehow news at TFW2005?

Considering we've already seen images of the toys being made, I'd say this whole article isn't really providing any new info we haven't been discussing already.

I'm still a bit baffled as to why Megatron & Prime are only getting the Deluxe treatment. Surely, Drift is the carry over from the 'Classics/Universe' line, but I'll be happy if Has/Tak is putting out two versions of him this year.

Maybe it could be another 2-pack.

It's also possible that they've anticipated a game targeted at G1 fans just won't have enough of an impact to merit any bigger toys. (In other words, don't anyone go hoping for Trypticon.)

Reader comments there, as with any and all indignant reader comments from non-toy sites about modern Transformers products (and some snobby toy sites) makes my head ache. Because these people have most likely not seen G1 toys in the last 20 years, and thus think their original Optimus Prime was Masterpiece Convoy.

Odd that Starscream isn't included on that list of Deluxes, seems he'd be a better choice than Soundwave since they could easily do SW and TC repaints.

Huh. Interesting choice in making a Drift.

    Working on that now.

Nothing new here. Just looks like someone took all the information they could find about them and put it all into one article. Only thing missing is that the WfC toys are going to be in a line called TF:Generations (aka, it'll contain more than WfC themed figures), and the way it was written, Drift isn't a WfC themed figure. Just another Deluxe class figure in the Generations toy line.
