ROFL, you should have said so to begin with. Okay, so these are either Deluxes or some new dual-size class then? These just don't seem like they'd be sold on the same peg as the regular deluxes.

Well, the Fast Action Battlers probably won't be on the same pegs as regular deluxe as long as the stockers are doing their jobs. They're a completely different sub-line. Think of the way Hasbro markets Star Wars and apply everything *mostly* that you know about that to the upcoming movie line... we're supposed to get Unleashed figures too. I would equate the Fast Action Battlers to the Star Wars Force Battlers with all the projectiles and stuff.

Starscream seems to be standing up straighter in these new pics. When we first saw the new figure, he was all short and squat, like his shoulders were joined directly to his hips. At least now he seems to have gained a torso, but he's still all shoulders. Very stocky -- wouldn't look good in a regal cape and crown at all...

I think that his jet-mode kibble wouldn't be so bad if his arm-cannons weren't so huge. It looks like the jet is sitting on top of two huge gattling guns (which are round, so they take up more space than folded hands would have).

Also - isn't it funny that in order to "deface" the test figure so that no one will want to buy him, they put red putty on his face? He is literally "de-faced". Well, I thought it was funny...

People need to stop straightening Starscream's legs when they put him in robot mode; it doesn't look better, and only makes his legs look more silly than if he was left in the goat-legged stance.

Good to see Starscream is in the same league as Rachet. What are the chances we'll see some higher-priced versions of lesser-important characters like this two?

Edit: oh, and thank you for the pics :)

Is it me, or did Starscream get bigger legs? They look...less stubby.

I will get Ratchet to kitbash into either Rhinox or G1 Ratchet, but I have no desire for Starscream...of course SS could make a cool BW Rampage.

Liking, though I agree that it would be nicer if SS's jet mode was more realistic wothout all the clobber underneath. That was how I was going to justify buy ing these toys - by claiming that they were scale models of real vehicles which just happen to transform....

Putting them with the gadgetbots only makes them look even worse.

I think it's just a case that Cybertron was easier to use than the Movie. Cybertron was done when these were being put together while the Movie is still in progress. A lot of the SFX are only going together now, so scenes from the movie probably wouldn't be available to use as decals on these guys at first. I think there might be a running change or repaints later using the Movie bots.

Personally wondering if it implies that in TF Movie canon, Cybertron exists as a fictional media that's inexplicably alike to the goings-on of the plot. :lol

Ratchet looks good, I like it. Starscream is still a loss - what is up with the face? :yuck

See page 1-2 of this thread to explain the face.

And SS is growing on me as a new incarnation of the character.

Ratchet keeps getting better and better. It's still a sure buy, and one of my favorite toys from the movie.

Starscream .... well, I gotta admit the bot mode is growing on me (or rather, I'm begining to accept it), but the alt mode is inexcusable.

The gadgetbots are all nice and neat. I don't even mind the bad colors on gamebot.

    :lol

Funny ... actually, it's not funny, it's sad, because it's true. I remember all those posts comparing his head to Waspy's and I couldn't see it.

I blame that thread everytime I see a post claiming the movie bots have 'insect faces'. Just what the hell does insects look like in your countries people? Sure, the faces aren't traditional TF faces ... but insects? Seriously? I even read in one of the FAB Ironhide threads that he has an 'insect/Ravage' face ... so suddenly, Ravage's face which is clearly feline, is also an insect face? WTH?!

    ....

    Sorry, rant over. :D

Of that bunch? Probably Rachet and that's it. (Although I DO already have Armada Red Alert, who acts as my defacto Rachet) So maybe pass on the lot of them?
