I agree. The colors themselves are actually pretty sweet, but the head stands out way too much (along with the hip pads and the cyan transparent stuff..).

Is it just me or does Hasbro never get repaints fully 'right' ?

The color scheme looked like vomit back in 1985, and it hasn't changed at all.

Awesome, but I wish there wasn't any blue.

I still prefer it over the original, tho.

Man, I just don't understand this thing. Why would Hasbro take a $45 toy, which as we know is generally a harder price point to sell, and repaint it like this? It isn't terrible, but it isn't something I want to throw another wad of cash at.

To give people other options of getting the mold.
    Just like every non-character repaint.

Yeah......it looks like something I left in the toilet bowl earlier today(even the blue). I think I'll stick to the original.

Leader sized repaints are very expensive to create. If they are not top tier characters it usually takes multiple releases to make up the cost. Now why the color scheme sucks is a whole different issue.

I know theme repaints are better with kids but this, shadowblade megs, and atomic lugnut, are pushing me towards no completionist for my first time in 10 years. Hopefully they will pull an Elite guard BB and change the blue at the last second. A Diaclone color scheme would have been much cooler. Or they should have just went full on camo

I think with a simple head remold and full camo they could have made a great new fig.

Animated toys are so characterized a head remold wouldn't even work, it would feel like "Not Ultra Magnus" instead of "A new character! Hoho! Perfect!"

Wait...was the head blue in previous pics? How could I not notice that? I was on board with this repaint until I saw this set of pics. I like the orange and green better than the original Magnus, but the blue head is so strikingly off that I'll most likely just pass up both of them.
