If the watch actualy worked I would wear that thing every day. The Blackout on the other hand is crap-tacular. I love the voyager version so that's okay.

I wonder if the torso twists so that the time display is wrist-accurate... :)  still that's a really cool RG bot.

It looks like he really will work. On his back, there are four tiny philips head screws. This leads me to believe that you have to replace the batteries. Ooooh, that gets me excited. A transformer whose alternate mode is REAL!!!! Instead of using him as a watch, I'd probably use him as a desktop clock.

I didn't look hard enough - are there buttons to change the watch settings?

The time is exactly the same in every picture, so I'm thinking he doesn't function as a watch.

I don't think the watch is real either. The time's the same in every pic and there doesn't appear to be any buttons to change the time or date. That really sucks, because I remember as a kid having a real-working watch that transformed into a little robot. It kept time pretty well. Not sure if it was a TF or not. I'm thinking it probably wasn't.

I'd almost be willing to bet that those phillips-heads screws are there to hold it together. They look like the same type of screws used on Transformers since time immemorial.

I'm a little saddened by the position of the watch face, being ninety degrees different from just about any other watch I've ever seen. If it was real, you'd have to contort your arm into a slightly awkward position simply to read it.

All the "real gears" are on my shopping list anyway. FAB BLACKOUT is better there than the last picture I saw of him, but still nowhere near close to usurping the Voyager version as the only one I'll get.

FAB Blackout looks...okay. As a movie Blackout completionist, I'll get this guy, along with his Voyager and Legends versions as well.

Doesn't look like it does work, unless it took 0 seconds to transform (the watch reads 5:17 and 40 seconds in both robot and watch mode) but yeah I would totally buy one that really worked.

*edit* Beat to the point, feel free to ignore :)

    watch robot smile

why is the watch robot smiling? another annoyance about hasbro's current toy line is that the robots have to much of a cute preschool kids toy look , while on the other hand , the 80's transformers looked like cool robots that turned into cool looking cars and watches and stuff.

Well the watch IS a Decepticon. Showing inaccurate time, I don't know if you can get more evil than that.
